Is there a possibility of a functioning catapault in a future patch for Pacific Fighters?

No, unfortunately not. As I remember Oleg said that a catapult is not possible due to the game engine.

If I'm wrong someone correct me.

No catapults, that makes stike missions from the big carriers difficult and virtually impossible from the escort carriers.

As a workaround, you can increase the carrier speed in the .mis file.

And that is a very good option. Real carriers would turn into the wind and run fast. 10 knots ain't exactly fast.

but the big problem is in multiplayer starts on carrier.
Ships cant move and start with fully loaded F4U is very hard, another problem is a spawn on the ship when someone start at the same time and you are dead,
we need some fixs to this ,if someone chokes move out then another cant spawn to ship until the first one safely ride over ship tower

Plus, CVEs are more or less useless. I have always wondered why they could not add a catapault command, similar to the parking brake command, that only works on carriers (or an certain parts of certain carriers). Maybe it has something to do with AI and/or overstressing the simulated airframes?

Catapults are 'impossible due to the game engine' the same way that torque-less P-38s or jets and (a long time ago) aircraft carriers were 'impossible due to the game engine'.

'Impossible due to the game engine' is Olegish for 'it would be a chunk of work and I don't feel like it'.

Which matches perfectly with the fact that Oleg and co. frankly don't have much interest in (or even knowledge of) the PTO, since basically, most people in the former Soviet Bloc don't. Their nations weren't remotely involved. The PTO / CBI was the USA, Japan, Commonwealth forces, and China. The PTO / CBI is to them what the Eastern Front is to the USA. We go "uh, there was snow." They go "eh, there was water."

    And no, Khalkin-Gol doesn't count.

Oh well, FritzGryphon is right though. There is a multiplayer game OTHER than the DF server. If you want to fly your loaded Hawg off of a Jeep carrier, just go into the .mis file and change it's speed from 9.75... to 20.0, and you'll be scooting along at a nice 38+ Knots! They're a ball to land on too. You can even get off again from as far forward as the island (clean).
