The big black one is the S1850M - long range radar for wide area search. Produced by BAE Systems Insyte (formerly AMS UK) and Thales and is an upgraded version of the Thales Nederland SMART-L radar.

The main weapons system is PAAMS - French/Italian/British joint project - while you also see the very new Mk.8 4.5" gun. The big ball on the foremast is the Sampson radar for fire control. There are two Phalanx mounts somewhere, though I can't see them, and the ship can also launch Harpoon, depending on deployment. All that in a nice 'stealth' design - looks top-heavy but I expect all the mast etc are GRP or aluminium. It apparently has a radar signature similar in size to a fishing boat.

It's also all-electric, powered by electric generators, and is considered to be very eco-friendly and economical.

What annoys me is the way the drastic improvement of accommodation standards has been a major focus-point. I joined about 40 years too early!

The Dutch appearance is a little sloppy on the hull - as usual, like the long hair they used to have in the army.

On the other hand, it could perhaps be an indication of the good use they are being put to.

Yup! My eyes were imediately drawn to the rust on the hull! I'd be furious if I were the Captain of that vessel after that photo was released!
