Ok I bought the PS3 version of Rayman Origins thinking it was the best version. Well I got the game today in the mail and I find out that just like the demo the PS3 version does not support DD 5.1 wth? The 360 version does. This needs to be patched, or is it intentional? I'm very disappointed and wish I had bought it on 360, I thought the demo lacked it it as an oversight. But to have the final full retail version without DD5.1 support and the 360 version has it. There is no excuse for this.
I also agree, why no 5.1 on PS3??.. This has ruined the game for me as my set up is a 5.1 surround set up.. Im gona struggle to play this amazing game now as sound is important to me in my 28 years of gaming!.. I use the Optical lead and i know this caused problems in "Enslaved" (later patched) and "Heavenly sword" (got patched). Trouble being the patches dont come out for ages and by then the game is either beat in standard sound mode or sold... Bit put off by this as this is one hell of a good game..
I won't count on it, I'm really surprised they let it go through QA like this, unless it was a choice for some reason, I can't see how it would be, it's not like Blu Ray does not have enough room. I can't see it being a thing that effects physical game play either, and those are the two ligitemate reasons why they might leave it out intentionally.I hope they read this and will do something about it..
Sony does list Dolby 5.1 support on their website for the game:

So this does seem like a mistake or something, like you said there's no reason for the game not to support it. You'll have to take some action if you want to try and get this fixed though, Ubisoft isn't exactly known for patching their games... Here's a few places you can try contacting them:
Rayman Origins dev blog: http://raymanorigins.uk.ubi.com/blog/
Rayman Origins on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/rayman?ref=ts
Ubisoft Technical Support: http://ubisoft-en.custhelp.com/app/ask/rnv/10 (if all else fails)
Yeah I contacted 3 out of 4 of those without much help. I saw in places where it is listed as 5.1, but no where in the US is it listed as 5.1 nor on the box packaging or Blu Ray. Maybe they had planned to have 5.1 originally but for some unknown reason had to leave it out. I'm pretty sure when using DD 5.1 it has to be listed on the box, DVD, or Blu Ray. So the absence of trademark leeds me to believe this was done by a choice for some reason. I wish UBI would at least explain themselfs.
