As many of you know, the standard leg curls in the personal trainer routines (not, for instance, the leg curls in the Michelle Bridges routines, which work just fine) are bugged. The exercise has two parts to it, both listed as "leg curl," and when doing the exercise, only 50% of curls are recognized.
After reading the other thread on this subject, I tried adding bounces, rotating in every manner (even the previously mentioned "stand with your back to the Kinect) to no avail. I could occasionally squeeze out one or two fluke recognitions, but at best would end up in the low 60 percents at the end of the routine.
So today, after seeing a bunch of 50% reports while I was doing the new 34 minute, toned-body workout, I decided to start doing a cabaret-type dance, kicking my leg forward and outward instead of curling it. So, for instance, if you're supposed to curl your left leg, kick it out to the left as high as you comfortably can. Doing this, I ended up with 90%! on that routine. So, in essence, you have to do a different exercise that still gives you roughly the same level of workout, but at least you'll get proper credit.
Of course, I'd much rather have a real fix, but until then, I guess I'll be dancing in the cabaret.

this was a simple adjustment but seemed to fix the prob for the most part:
I performed the move on screen as it should look but with a little tweak. instead of my right heel trying to kick my right butt cheek, i tried to have it kick the left, like a cross butt kick. haha that seemed to register significantly better. try it!
