English version bought in Korea cannot load DLC or go to Uplay | Forums

I bought my copy of YSFE at the Emart in Suncheon, South Korea. I cannot get on Uplay, and having paid for and downloaded the Toning/Cardio Platinum package, it is also not loading. Is this related to the version I bought coming from Korea? If so, is there any way I can fix it, as there were no warnings anywhere that it wouldn't work.

Yes, I have. I have been told that, apparently, a feature of the game is that the DLC will not work with it because I bought it in Korea. So apparently, none of the DLC nor the features outside of the core game will work, despite my having bought and registered the game. How do I get around this or fix it, outside of buying it online and paying an extra 20$ to have it shipped from the US?
