I googled up additional pics of the Gu-470. This is what I found.
Looks overmodeled to me.

Correct me if I am wrong, didn't Hoagy Carmichael write a propaganda song about this incident? I believe that it involved the entire populace of munchkinland playing kazoos while being conducted by the Marx Brothers with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis on vocals. Apparently this recording is what the special effects crew used to cause the wicked witch's feet to curl up in the Wizard of Oz movie. This was reportedly to be so effective that the War Department briefly experimented with loudcasting the recording on the battlefield. The experiment was soon shelved because any friendly troops within hearing distance were disabled instantly, their feet and boots rolling up backwards in the most curious fashion. The wounded troops were then hustled off to a military hospital and recuperated by listening to the same Amos and Andy radio programs mentioned earlier. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

To Crash in regard to
. Let me back up... This is only an add on to Chuck_Older's post about the unfortunate Herr Ppfalzdorf. Sorry for the confusion. With the additional pic of the Gu-470, is that an Eastern or Western front camouflage configuration? It looks like the pilot is getting his/her shoe laces tied together in preparation for flight as well. If You look closely, You'll see that the pilot has on a pair of the x-ray glasses that can be ordered from the back of comic books. As far as the sim is concerned, I wonder if these glasses would help in spotting Soviet aircraft flying close to the ground?
