I knew a guy back in high school who was a serious, hardcore punker. This guy was Mr. Anarchy Incarnate. He really lived the punk lifestyle that a lot of people would flirt with, but would never fully walk through the door. He dropped out in the 12th grade, and I didn't see him again until around the late '90's. I almost didn't recognize him because back then he had this mohawk that stood a foot tall from his head, and he used to have a chainsaw blade tatted around his neck, with some Mayan looking tattoos on his face. He also had these spider web tattoos on the backs of his hands. We both did a double take when we saw each other at a street fair. This guy had completely changed. He was in medical school at the time, and was going to become a general practitioner.Originally posted by Messaschnitzel:

Messa..
I wager those same people are the ones (if for some strange reason their app didn't get s-canned) who would show up for an interview dressed "properly".
Meaning, piercings in, blue mohawk, and a Misfits t-shirt. Attire that will REALLY get them taken seriously...... *cough*
He said that he really regretted getting the tattoos because even though he had undergone several laser treatments to remove them, they were always going to be visible to a degree because he was so fair skinned. He was really worried that patients might shy away from him when they saw what was left of them.
He said that somewhere along the line, he finally gave up the not trying to fit in/accept-me-as-I-am attitude because it was getting him nowhere fast. He cleaned up, straightened up, quit drinking, using, and thieving, and hopefully made a good future for himself. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Knew a guy like that once. Tattoos all over his face.
It`s great to be a public out-in-your-face rebel, it`s so `cool`, but society wins out in the end and you end up having to wear a suit and tie (well most of us).
I don't see why is so much work pressing a key with a free hand, unless that hand is busy with something...Originally posted by raaaid:

With all my respect for those who have them and like them, I abhor tattoos. People don't look cool with them, just look like scum. I specially hate when pretty chicks have big tattoos that make them look like cheap hos.
And tattos are simply horrible when you get older... those faded blueish lines getting distorted on pale, trembling, wrinkled flesh... yuck!
