As for TMO2, I wish, but don't have SH4 1.5. I may purchase/download the addon some time, maybe soon, but still only running SH4 1.4. As I said I was torn between flaming the sampan/junk/fish boats as I would usually later and/or when further north and just leaving them as being friendlys. But there were JUST SO DAMN MANY.
As for the Feb. '42 TF heading south, I don't think this is it. I was heading north at the start of a cruise and got the first contacts, 2 DDs and 2 heavy cruisers. I ambushed this one getting one of the cruisers and ran away fast. The remaining cruiser and 1 DD took off and are now about 16000 yds behind me, one DD ia still sniffing around about 6500 yds astern, but have now gotten these new contacts, 3 so far but more to follow I'm sure, coming SE off my 75 deg. at about 16500-17000 yds. Saved it there and went for dinner, gotta get back to it today.

I used to love attacking fishing boats and sampans in stock game. Same with TMO until a fishing boat unexpectedly opened up on me and gave me 15% hull damage , after that event, coupled with the fact that they're not worth the (precious) ammo you use to destroy them, I've modified my behaviour towards them.

I once got sunk by a fishing boat. I was a noob, but figured his machine guns couldn't be hurting me and I would sink him first...not.
