Just done a test, and I have this result;



I ditched my wi-fi for ethernet connection instead and the speed is far better, I had suffered long enough with that pesky wi-fi - I think it's over rated

Mottie, I'm with Virgin too - Can I be cheeky and ask you (via PM if you'd rather) which package you are on to get that speed?

No problem RJ.
Literally upgraded to Virgins XL package last Wednesday. I've got the all in TV/phone etc which is variable cost depending on phone usage.
This package is £56 a month but includes free phone day/night/weekday/weekends to UK landlines plus all the channels like music downloads, sports national geo etc etc and films.
The phones primarily why I went for it, I'm going to save a fortune........... Daughter 24, sons 19 and 14. Now they can fight for the phone and I dont care if the older ones 'forget to pay up' for their calls. The broadband speeds 4 times what it was, I had the 4mb package but usually only hit 2.
Meant to be 'up to 20mb' but these are the figures I keep hitting and compared to before its flying along.

Does it include Setanta? I don't mind if it doesn't because then I have no option but to go the pub to watch the England games
