So I'm all in heavy fog here... since it became obvious to me that i need to get my self a new rig it doesn't hurt to ask some of you better informed guys what would I need to have to run the thing decently?
I don't need best possible graphics just enough to enjoy the game decently.

We are less than 2 months away from launch and I can't find info anywhere.

The developers haven't released the specs yet because they are still finishing and optimizing the final copy trying to squeeze every frame they can. We should know the specs in the next few weeks, that will give you plenty of time to upgrade if necessary.

I'm sure you will be able to run the Cliffs of Dover with an average computer, with some options turned down. If you can't the developers aren't going to be selling to many copies.

Yeah once we get the requirments, everyone here will be talking about them, be sure!

If you can possibly restrain yourself for a bit, I would even wait and see what people report about performance in the first few days after it's released, because it's possible that COD won't work well with certain components even if they are powerful components that cost a lot. For example it seems like Nvidia 8X00 and GTX cards cause jaggy coastlines in Il-2 and jagged messy far-off landscapes in ROF, if that is also the case with COD then you might want to go with ATI, but it's also possible that ATI stuff will cause problems. Same with processors, hopefully it's coded well enough that it can run on anything well but who knows.

Not to get offtopic, but if you use a program called Nvidia Inspector you can set your FB+AEP+PF profile to 4x4 (or was it 2x2) combined AA which will eliminate the jaggies on coasts, but it hits the framerate pretty good depending on the card.

As far a Cliffs of Dover is concerned, Nvidia worked to some extent with the COD developers while AMD/ATI didn't bother.

Nvidia was also a better card in IL-2 for sometime when the new water textures were released.

Thanks Chivas... just checked FB and yeah, he said shortly.
Just wanna makes sure I got a rig that can decently run the game...

I had nvidia all these years with IL-2 however the one I currently have probably died few days ago on me, as I can't run the mission nor object viewer for more than few seconds and my PC restarts itself.
TBH my whole rig is severely obsolete so it wouldn't be of any good just replacing the vid card.

I am thinking of buying a barebone kit from tiger direct to put together a gaming rig but I am on a budget and I am new to doing that kind of thing. I was wondering if I will need to buy and install windows for that when I build it. Also, I am considering a GeForce GTS450 Graphics card, anybody here ever use one?

That's the route I'm thinking of going as well, for the same reasons: budget and noobishness. I'm hanging on the specs so I can start figuring out what I need
