I got a DV7T HP laptop as a late graduation gift. I have SH3 but I havent tried installing it yet but wanted to ask before I try and possibly mess something up.
But my laptop has a bluray dvd drive, I have done research on bluray and find out regular dvd`s should work but I want to verify if there would be any problems since I have a bluray drive?
I know the specs should be good to play the game though. They are as follows
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-Bit
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6400 2.0GHz
4GB DDR2 Memory
320 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530
Blu-ray Rom w/ supermulti DVD+/- R/RW Double Layer
I have a feeling it should play long as the bluray drive will work since the graphics card supports Pixel Shaders 4.1 and Direct X 10.1
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the reply, I thought it would but I was unsure and didnt want to possibly screw the new laptop up. I have screwed up computers before an I still dont know how ive done it lol.
I know this isnt the SHIV board but would those specs atleast play SHIV even if the graphics has to be turned down?
Thats what I was thinking. If I have to run at low setting it wouldnt bug me. I played SH3 since 2005 when I got it on a GeForce 4 graphics card and had absolutely no ocean surface generated. But that graphics card I think should atleast barly run it I hope.
Not to mention this laptop has a access panel to change out the graphics card as well as the ram so I could always upgrade later on.
Sure thing, I just hope my SHIII doesnt have that starforce on it, I cant remember exactly when I got it but it probably does but I see theres people in the main forum that knows a work around with the 64 bit vista so all should be good to go. Just waiting on Amazon to deliver SH4 now before I go installing SH3.Originally posted by tambor198:
