I love this game overall. I've been exercising a lot more regularly since I got it.
But..
I quit my workout in frustration today after two Personal Trainer sessions. Exercises that I have regularly been scoring in the 90%+ range today were scoring in the 20% range and some weren't recognized at all.
This seems to happen somewhere around once a week to varying degrees, but today was the worst I've seen.
I am certain I was doing the exercise accurately. I moved around within the exercise rectangle several times in case I was just not in the correct spot for the camera, but nothing helped. Even Jumping Jacks, which I almost always score at or near 100% weren't being read accurately.
I would think the program could detect if it needs to recalibrate and just do it or at least tell me to go through the calibration process. Nothing about my space has changed, lighting is good, etc.
I think the program is way to picky about rhythm and positioning, BTW, but if it going to be that picky it needs to at least be accurate.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but I don't recall which one
I've had something similar happen to me from time to time. Though my percentages are usually very good on most exercises, sometimes they are not. Usually when this happens it seems that one side or the other is not registering well. What I found was that my kinect sensor has pivoted very slightly to one side or the other. I'm not sure if this happens because it gets accidentally nudged or if it's because of a slight vibration over time. But I have gotten into the habit of making sure the sensor is perfectly parallel with the shelf, especially if I suddenly start seeing unexplainable low scores.
If that's not it recalibrating can never hurtTo my knowledge the game will never prompt you to do this.
Also, I remember once I was doing very badly in the Blocks Smashing Game and my image seemed to be "shimmering" a bit. I closed down the YSFE game and restarted it. After the restart my bocks smashing was right on again and my image had settled back down.
I think I saw your earlier post. I actually have my kinect velcro'ed to a shelf at eye level.Originally posted by NanoParticle:

I wonder if it has something to do with the initial recognition of the player. I've noticed that I can stand forward or backward a foot or two and YSFE will still place me dead center in the rectangle.
Regardless, I think a patch to enhance accuracy and be slightly less picky about rhythm would be a great thing.
Nope, that's not it. Lighting is very consistent in that room. The only things that might be different are where I'm standing when I launch the game (probably no more than a foot difference in any direction though) or the color of my clothingOriginally posted by CliffS2:
Another possibility is a change in the lighting. Many have commented on this being an issue, but I've not seen anyone present much detail. Could your lighting be different on your off days?
