Thanks for that heads up. Even I didn't know that, I never use that function anyway. Sounds like you better stick to the eraser.Originally posted by relcox:
Only just started using SH3 Gen myself and have to say I like it but one word for for those Kaleuns new to it like me, if you click the clear all tool on the nav map all the information SH3 Gen put on your map will disappear.![]()
Doh !!!
I just realized, I haven't posted pics of the Tracking room.
As you see, it looks just like the NavMap. This is what it looks like when it first opens up after generating the map.

It also works like the NavMap as far as zooming in & out. Also notice the color is different than the one above. It has different themes and many other cool options to play around with. Every time I open the Tracking Room, I discover something new.
![]()
The Tracking Room displays Convoys, Task Forces, Air Bases, and respective nation flags for what land they have control over(Taken over). It also displays minefields & subnets, merchant traffic, and BB & DD traffic. I am not sure what the Icebergs are representing, since they show on the map in places where icebergs don't exist(I guess I should ask Global Explorer).
EDIT :
Icebergs represent Dolphins on the Tracking Room screen and on the NavMap ingame.
toolworx, welcome to the Silent Hunter forums
I just Googled ".net 64bit" and found this page:Originally posted by toolworx:
I tryed downloading .net v2 but it will not run on a 64bit operating system.
is there a way around it.
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64)
Incidentally, are you running Silent Hunter 3 on a 64bit system? I didn't think that was possible!? (at least I've read it won't run on Vista 64, don't know about XP 64-bit).
Can't help you with your second question but hopefully someone else can.
@ Toolworx - Try doing a full reinstall. If you have a career saved, make sure to move the Careers folder out of My Documents/Sh3/Data/Cfg before uninstalling. Before reinstalling, delete the Sh3 folder and it's contents. Once you have reinstalled it, and ran it once, you may place your Careers folder back and resume your current save.
Hi everyoneforgive me if I am in the wrong place, but here goes___ I Recently decided to have a go at SH3 after loads of problems with SH5. Added the TWG mod, and it is great
The only problem is when I exit the game, my PC is stuck in 640x480 and i have to go into settings to adjust it after every visit to sh3. Am I missing something ??? I tried one of the "fixes" that there is, but although as mentioned the game works OK but this is a little annoying after a while. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful ???
Cheers John
