Thanks for looking into this. I never had any intention of hooking my XBox up to the internet, I just wanted to exercise and play some games but if that fixes it then I guess that's what I'll have to do. I really enjoy playing Your Shape, lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks (and eating properly of course) and for the most part I'm happy with it but you'd think they would check out the game thoroughly before launching it to the public.Originally posted by slippery_chimp:
Hello,
I have been passing emails back & forth between myself & ubisoft since I posted here. They've confirmed that an Internet / live account shouldn't be needed to progress the game although as it stands their only suggestion is to connect and download the game update. I've just done that but haven't tried the sessions since so don't know if it's done the trick or not. Have you already tried doing this?
Their only other suggestions was making sure to hit finish etc etc. I suggest you also contact ubisoft suport, as the responses I got implied they are refussing to accept there is a problem and it must be human error.
Good luck!!
I contacted them first before I posted here on the forum and this was their reply. Not much help, not impressed.....

Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Technical Support. Unfortunately, the issue you are having is related to general gameplay hints and tips that is either covered in the manual, or is available via another source such as the Ubisoft forums (http://www.ubi.com/US/Community/ForumBrowser.aspx).
Hello again,
On the standard email response there is also a link to respond to their answer, I suggest you give them all the detail and hopefully if a few people are reporting the same issue they will look in to it. As I've just downloaded all the updates and am still getting the same problem, it is so annoying as the game is pretty boring doing the same thing all the time!

I still not certain I understand how you are doing what you're doing. Let's see... There are 2 types of Personal Training programs:Originally posted by NanoParticle:

When I start I select activity selection then personal training my progress bar still says I have 11 sessions left when I select start training if I choose to start my program it gives me the exact same workout that I did 4 days in a row and got low 90 to mid 90% scores so I tried to choose session instead and picked cardio 1.1 and then Ive done sessions 1-4 all on different days and all in one day and it still tells me that I have 11 sessions left on my personal training progress bar. I keep getting good scores but Im not moving on and Im not sure why.
Type 1 - These have special names like "Men's Fat Burner", "Toned Arms and Shoulders", or "Perfect legs and butt" and have 12 sessions in which the session numbers advance daily. The sessions are all the same and the exercise routines in them do not change.
Type 2 - These have generic names like toning, cardio and sculpting. The session in these programs change over time and new exercises are introduced as you gain proficiency in the ones you have been doing. These programs do not have any numbers from 12 to 1. They have progress bars instead. The length of the program depends on how long it takes the user to progress through the exercises. But the various levels (2.1, 3.1 etc) can be accessed directly if they are unlocked.
It sounds to me as though you are mixing the apples with the oranges. I am imagining that you are starting with one of the 12 session programs then you are going in and choosing one of the levels from one for the progress bar programs and thus loosing your progress (session number) in the 12 session program because it thinks you've chosen a new program - which in fact you have. I am of course just supposing here since I can't see what you're doing, but it's the only way what you have described makes any sense to me - given the way the two types of programs work.
So the cure would be to either stick with the 12 session program, where each of the sessions are the same throughout as you advance through the session numbers OR choose one the generic named programs that vary but do not have session numbers. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
So I think this may be my issue or at least similar to my issue.
I start off doing Cardio then change to Toning, both of them seem to progress as it adds a 3rd bar on my Cardio (still weak on toning) and also progresses to the 3rd trained block (2nd on toning) but then when I go to do my 20min bust a sweat and arm toning, they never progress meaning it stays stuck at 11 sessions left no matter how well I do or how many times I do it.
This seems shortsighted on the part of the developers. Did they not think that people would want to vary their workouts? Is there a plan to fix this? It takes away from what otherwise is a great game imo.
Well, i have one "solution":
you have to create 2 counts, profiles or players; use the profile "X" and play you're dairy routine (like "Toned Arms and Shoulders") once you finish, just change you´re count, profile or player, then using the profile "Y" choose you're routine (like "Perfect legs and butt") finishing that, you have now 11 sessions to complete the total routine.
To the next day, do the actions that explained: use the player "X", then use the player "Y"; Now you gonna have 10 sessions to complete the total routine.
This is a mid "solution", but i still thinking that Youre Shape, has an big error.
And the solution of the clock is not a real solution, because you have to plugged in you're console all the day.
I have the same problem. I have completed the 1st session for the day then when I go in the next day I get the same 1st session...I realize from what you are posting that the same session plays for 12 consecutive days...but I have done the same session several days in a row and it says I have 11 sessions left. Why does anyone want to to the same thing 12 days in a row anyway? Something is wrong with the software. I will try the clock and see if it advances. Does anyone have problems with doing the moves just like the trainer and it doesn't register that you did it?
