It was called Zanza, you're right about that.
To me, Sanosouke became much cooler once he learned those punshing techniques from Anji. But still: did you see when he attacked Saito, punshing him in the face, and Saito just stood there and laughed? That's when it became obvious that he was still an inferiour warrior, IMO.

When I was younger, I loved Sailor Moon and Meiling (Cardcaptor Sakura)
I was in the "Magical Girl" stage.
I'm still addicted to anime though

Sanosouke is an incredible strong warrior. And that sword... But kenshin remains my favourite wiht his cool attitude and the fantastic way he wields his sword.

Sano's strength seems to lie in his ability to take a lot of punishment. He keeps getting knocked down, but he gets up again every time. But his attacks are not strong enough to take on experienced swordsmen. Saito could have killed him on at least 2 seperate occasions.

Have you seen the episode in which Sanosouke and Kenshin fought versus each other? I thought it'd never end and, that was a FIGHT.

And that was where Sano first showed how much punishment he could take
No matter how many time he got hit by Kenshin's Sakabatou, he just wouldn't stay down. That was indeed a long fight
I think my fav. fight of the series was when Saito came to recruit Kenshin. hey were almost completely equal in skill, it was so cool to watch. I still watch it regularly.

I always meant to go to some videostore and to get hold of the series but then i had to change my mind. Too busy.
But i'll get all the episodes on DVd next time. I'm sure it's quite possible.

Check out the Cowboy Bebop movie too, if you're into fist fights. There are some amazing martial arts sequences in that movie. Spike's style of fighting is like Bruce Lee's, it's a pleasure to watch.
Just a suggestion
