    If the weapons damage in this sim were modeled accurately there would be so much whining it would make the FW 190 gunsight issue look like a non-event.

    even minor damage to a wing in the right spot will cause it to break apart, even if that wing went into a dive. I have gone into a dive in 109 with damaged wing and pulled back HARD and nothing

    So now we have visual proof that a 20mm HE round will destroy a section of aluminum skin wrapped around 2 wooden forms and held together with duct tape.

    Exactly. Proves nothing. If you want something useful look at tests with a more scientific approach.

    The aluminum was architechtural grade. The holes in it were cleaner than what you would get in 2000 or 7000 (not common in WW2) series. The iron was cast grey. Beyond this it would be nice to have a more meaningful "test".
