Answer from the Developer: <span class="ev_code_RED">"This is unfortunately not something you can do. I can give you some tips though. I’m really sorry to ask but are you kicking by crossing your body? You always have to use your opposite to hit the target. Also try to kick a little bit in front of you. As the targets are in a 45 degree from you. Hope this helps."</span>
If I remember correctly, you should be doing a high knee. I think it tells you that in the beginer session. I too was having problems till I found out to knee it. Also, you gotta be fast for it to break the block. I know in the hard one, there is only 2 different sets they use, took me about 5 times before I had it memorized and was able to get a 800 something score and the achievment. Hope this helps everyone
Sorry for posting after so long, but I felt I needed to respond to this. I'm going to be posting a review to my blog, but I think this game has serious problems detecting the movements of big people. I have 8 feet of space in front of my Kinect, yet only about 3 square feet of useable space. When it comes to detecting my legs the thing is absolutely abyssmal. I get 6% on the step touch every time to the point where I turn the sound off now just so I don't hear it chastise me over and over and over because I like my TV and don't want to put a free weight through it.
I get 6% yet I'm actually doing every one in rhythm, it just doesn't detect my legs moving. And its not like I have stubby legs, I'm six feet tall. I also still can't do kicks - I'm probably too slow to begin with for kicking the virtual smash blocks, but even when I should kick it, it yells at me to kick across (which I'm doing).
This program is almost exactly what I'm looking for, but its not there because the negative reinforcement ("You don't seem to be getting it, lets try something else" or something equally negative) combined with the fact it is wrong (I think I would have to be dead to actually get 6% on the step touch, for instance) makes it a very frustrating experience. More customization might make it bearable if the accuracy is not possible to increase.
I hear you on the step touch. I'm 6'2" and originally was getting well below 20% on the step touch. I've since moved my Kinect to the top of my TV (about 6 ft), covered the window with a sheet to block sunlight and re-calibrate as nano suggests before I do every game. For the first time ever...and I mean EVER..I got 100% on both step touch routines today! I noticed that during the recalibration through the kinect tuner, it finally had dots on my feet. But there are other exercises that have problems as well for me.Originally posted by losingjeff:

It's a problem with the position of the sensor and/or lightning.
Had similar problems, solved it by positioning the sensor to the edge of the table and turning one light against the wall so the white light bounces off the wall and lights the room better and i still don't have a light directed into my head.
Hope it helps.
