A Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel http://www.flightsim.com/main/review/sait-pnl.htm. Just wondered how well they work with IL2. I already have the throttle controls and their pedals and both are excellent, decided against the X52 and to stay with my MSFF2 (Still the best JS IMO) so just wondered if anyone has one yet as I am considering as should be better than

Is the labeling flexible or is this designed for one particular type of aircraft ?

Reading the text in the link above it looks like it's especially made for FSX, the guys says it's not even compatible with FS2004, so Ireally don't know if it will work with Il-2...

I would be suprised if it was built just to work on FSX, I thought maybe it defaults to work with all the presets in FSX but would have thought you could assign tasks (and HOTAS) to each button in IL2 but again I am guessing hense the post.

Of course if you can program the switches (via Saitek SST) with any combination of keys it should work with Il-2, but that review is not clear on this point.

The control panel is only going to make button events that you could assign to functions. I am not sure how the landing gear stuff works, but will as soon as I bit the bullet and buy one. If it works with the saitek software then I imagine it could be made quite useful.

It's hard to say, even the blurb on Saitek's own site (http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/pfpanel.htm) seems to indicate it's optimised for FSX. At the current time there's not even a downloadable manual for it like there is for pretty much ALL other Saitek products. Time will tell...
