We looked everywhere but no luck.
“Now what are we gonna do?” Mymy said. “We’ve looked everywhere but haven’t found her.”
I didn’t even hear her. I was writing in my tiny spy notebook.
The Search for Salacia Bright Star
So far we have found nothing. Not even a clue. We are getting worried. Maybe the kidnapper took her off the island. All we know is someone or someones doesn’t want us to find her.
“How about Salz house?” Dani suggested. “Maybe her kidnapper took her there, thinking no one would think of looking there.”
My head snapped up as I snapped back to attention. I put my book in my backpack and said, “Good idea. Let’s go.”
At Sal’s house………
“I’m glad Norman gave us the key,” I said. “But he looked suspicious.”
“What did u expect?” Kiara said. “We are asking for someone else’s house key.”
I shrugged and unlocked the door. Lala put her finger to her lip and I pushed open the door inch by inch, till finally it was open all the way. We walked in feeling scared. The room was a disaster. The sheets and blankets where on the floor, couch cushions everywhere, and the coffee table was on its side. We stared in horror.
“What happened in here?!” I squeaked. The rest couldn’t talk, for they were in what seemed like hypnosis. Finally they spoke. But all at once.
“What the…..” Lala said.
“OMG!” Kiara said.
“What happened?!” Mymy cried.
“I can’t believe it,” Dani mumbled.
“This is not hap-” I started to say but I was cut off. Someone was coming in Salz house!...........

Chapter 24
We hid behind the couches, hoping the intruder wouldn’t see us.
“Sal!” we heard someone say. “Sal are you here?”
I peeked around the edge of the couch and saw……..
“Ham!” I cried, running over to her.
“JaJa?” she said, looking quite confused.
I gave her a hug and explained about the search, Salz, and the weird looking dude that hit our heads. She looked at my wide-eyed and shocked. She sort of looked like she was going to pass out. I sat her on the couch and explained how we were searching for her and why we had back packs with us. She was speechless.
Once I was done talking she said, “I’ll help you search.”
I smiled and handed her a backpack. We had another traveler. We started to search and found a few things. A grabbed my notebook and started to write:

*A broken heel
*A quill
*A fingerprint
I turned to my friends, my grin as wide as a watermelon. Their grins were just as big.
“Food Fair?” I asked. They nodded. The excitement was getting better and better!
At the food fair……..
“Hi Delia!” we chorused, running up to her.
“Hello girls,” she replied, smiling. “What are you up to today?”
“Have you seen Salz?” I blurted.
She didn’t seem to mind. “No, not that I can remember. Oh wait. I saw her at the Dance Academy. May I ask why?”
I lowered my voice. “She is missing.”
Dalia’s eye widened. “Missing?” Salacia is missing? Jade Island’s Salacia Bright Star?”
We nodded sadly.
“I wish I could help you girl but I have so much work to do. But I give you my good luck and hope.”
“It’s ok. We have a lot of people. We will find her. I’m sure of it. Thank for your help!” I said, as we headed for the academy………….

Chapter 25
“Jordon!” we cried running up to Jordon Miller, the dance instructor. He looked preoccupied. Finally he looked up at us.
“Yes?” he asked.
“We are looking for Salacia.” Kiara told him. “Have you seen her anywhere?”
“Hm. Yes, yes I have. I saw her talking with Flora Reyes yesterday.”
“Thanks!” she called over her shoulder, as we ran to the modeling agency.
Once we got there I shouted, “Flora!”
She looked up, surprised, and said, “Hello gals.”
“Hey,” we replied running faster then ever.
“Flora,” I said. “Have you seen Salacia?”
She thought for a moment and said, “Yes. Yes I have. I just saw her yesterday at um, at the Pierre’s Restaurant. Yes, that is where I saw her.”
“Thanks!” we cried, as we ran toward the center.
At the Fashion Center……
We looked around. The restaurant was pretty much empty too. Only a few people were there. Chef Pierre, Ella, and a few other people but that’s it.
“Chef Pierre have you seen Salacia?” I asked eager than ever to find her.
He pointed to a table. There we saw……
“Salz!” we shrieked, as we ran to her. She looked a little….. well, injured.
She looked up at us, her grin a mile wide. “Guys!” she cried, running into our arms. We had never had a bigger, happier group hug.
When we finally stopped hugging I said, “We need to finish solving this mystery.”……..
