Chapter 14
“I’m home!!” I called into the house. As soon as I said that I heard thumps everywhere. “JaJa!!” my mom cried. “Who are your friends?” “Guys these are Salacia and Layla. Sal, Lala this is my family.” “Hi.” “Hello Mymy.” “Hi.” “Let’s go to my room guys. I need to unpack.” Once we were in my room Sal asked, “How many people are in your family?” “Um, let me see….. Six,” I replied. “Wow.” “JaJa!!” my mom called. “Can you fix dinner tonight?” “Sure!” I called back. I walked downstairs and looked in the fridge. Surprisingly there wasn’t much. Just an apple and a pear. “Mom!” I cried. “Where is the food?” “We used it last night,” she replied. Oh boy. I guess I have to buy food. I ran back upstairs. “You guys wanna go shopping for food with me?” I asked. “Sure!”
At the grocery store…..
“Okay. Let me see,” I said, looking at my list. “I’ll start with stew. Um….. carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, onions, beef, and spices.” I grabbed those and things for sugar cookies, fruit salad, lemonade, and hot chocolate for later. I paid for the things and we went home.
Later that night…..
“Loved the stew!” Mymy exclaimed. “Thanks!” I replied, feeling happy that my friends like my cooking. “I love this hot chocolate!” Salacia told me. “And it goes great with the leftover cookies.” I smiled, feeling proud I can make hot cocoa just like my dad’s. I heard a knock on the door. It was Amber. “Someone left these flowers for all of you.” “Thanks,” I replied. “No problem,” she said as she walked away. I closed the door. There was a bouquet for each of us. They were all in different colors but with cards. “Here are Sal’s and Mymy’s and Layla’s and mine,” I said as I passed them out. I read my card.
I have only seen you once, but when I saw you I felt so weak. Your back was turned and I didn’t care. I have never seen your eyes but I’m sure they sparkle. If u were a star, you would outshine ‘em all. If you were a moon, you would be the best thing at nightfall. You are the girl of my dreams.
I looked at my friend and saw them smiling. I guess they had an admirer too…..

My friends and I looked up at smiled at each other. “Wow,” I said. “When I came I never thought we would have secret admirers.” “Yah,” Salacia agreed. We were all happy. “Hey guys lets have some pancakes,” I said, hungry and wanting to fill my stomach, which was growling for food. “Yah.”
After breakfast…..
“You guys wanna go to my favorite place on this island?” I asked my friends. “Sure!” they reply. “What is it like?” Sal asked. “It’s calming, soothing, beautiful, and a great place to be if you need to think.” “Cool! Sure!”
At my favorite place…..
My friends look at the forest with awe. That’s right. My favorite place is a special forest that nobody but me and now Layla, Sal, and Mymy know. “This is the best place to chill if you are upset.” “This place is so cool!” Layla said. Ring, ring, ring!! “What on earth,” I said as I pulled out my my-link. “Yes! Poll results.” “What?” Mymy asked. “I wanted to know what people thought of us Ham, Mik, and Cyan,” I replied reading the results. I screamed. “What?!” they cried. I couldn’t reply so I just kept screaming. Finally I stopped. “What is it?” Sal asked, worriedly. “Someone hacked the poll and the name is,” I pause and gulped. “You four are goners.” My friends started screaming. I just couldn’t figure this out…..
