Chapter 16

When we went to bed that night nobody could sleep for hours. We just kept thinking about that horrible post. Who would have wanted to hack my poll? I thought. Who? Finally we fell asleep.

The next morning…..

I blinked my eyes and yawned. My friends weren’t up yet. I looked at the clock. 7 a.m.! I thought. I woke up EARLY! I got up and took a shower. When I went back into my bedroom my friends were up. “Morning guys,” I said, walking into my room. They all looked tired. “Why don’t you guys take showers then we can get dresses,” I suggested. They agreed and they walked drowsily up to the bathroom and took a shower one at a time. When each went out looking more awake, a drowsy one would go in. I read the whole time. When they were all done, looking more awake and not drowsy at all, I took them into my closet. It was almost as big as the one on my boat. My friends and I went through the whole closet, looking for stuff to wear. Just when we were putting the finishing touches on my my-link rang. It was a text from Verity!

Chapter 17

Verity and I texted forever, then we went downstairs for breakfast. Apparently Dad was cooking. “Dad!” I said, entirely surprised. “Why are you making breakfast?” “You’re Mom is tired,” he replied. “She was up a long time. From five a.m. two days ago till five a.m. this morning.” I gasped. My friends looked at my dad wide eyed. He just nodded. “She needs her rest. Now what would you like for breakfast girls?” “Bacon and Blueberry waffles,” we said, all at once. We giggled while my dad said, “Okay!”

After breakfast…..

“That was a very good breakfast,” Sal said, finishing off her waffles. Layla and Mymy nodded and smiled. “Thanks for the food dad!” we ran upstairs into my bedroom. “You know what we could do guys?” I said, with a happy grin on my face. “What?” they asked. “Girl Frenzy!” “Yah!” Mymy cried. Sal and Lala looked puzzled. “What’s girl frenzy?” Lala asked. “It’s where we do hair-dos and spa and clothes. Girl stuff!!” Sal and Layla looked at each other with grins on their faces. “Yah!” I went to my bathroom to get some stuff. “Mymy!” I called. “I need your help!” She came in and helped me carry stuff. We came out with four foot massagers (the kind you put water in), lots of towels and wash clothes, masks, lotion, oats, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, and cleansers. “Are we gonna wash our hair in your bathroom sink?” Sal asked me. “Nope,” I replied, smiling and pointed to a sink next to my vanity. I went to my vanity and opened the draws. I pulled out hair brush. “You guys did bring your own hair brushes right?” “Yah.” I pulled out perfume and face paint. “Face paint!” Lala cried. “Yup.” I pulled out my nail kit. Then I went downstairs, into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and pulled out a cucumber and some boiled eggs. I went to a cabinet and pulled out some milk powder and honey. I ran back to my room and said, “We’re all set.”…..
