Yay!!!3. Small, irrelevant, units don't show up on the map or clutter the sensors
Yay!!!4. The radar and hydrophone won't detect units that don't have a signature of
that kind (sampans, rowboats, etc)
Yay!!!5. New orders received by the player are presented through a radio message pop-
up.
Yay!!!6. The recognition manual now remembers the last page it was opened at, and
will default to the Japanese roster
Is this for the sub, or AI ships?6. Various ships have had firing arcs limitations corrected
Like having to turn the computer volume nearly all the way up to hear properly in the game?8. Some problems with the sound engine have been solved
Wonder if this also fixes the radio station date line bug.11. Torpedoes fired by the player now show up on the map even after crossing
the International Date change Line
Yay!!!17. AI units will now take notice of nearby ships being destroyed even when
there is not a trace of the attacker
I'm pretty sure an Ubi rep acknowledged the repeating mission and early retirement bugs, and said it would be fixed. It's odd that it isn't mentioned in the list, but it's often the case that coders are working ahead of whoever compiles and distributes the readme text. Or it could be included under "9. Various user interface enhancements / bugfixes", if it was an easy code fix.Originally posted by lane2512:
Some things I don't see, which will cause a lot of noise here, is no mention of repeat mission and retirement, gun bucket, or crew management and damage report fixes. Doesn't mean the final won't have them, I know.
If those two things aren't fixed, at least we know there are workarounds, like the scripted mission approach in the TMaru mod. That fixes the gun bucket too, if Ubi didn't get around to it. We did ask for them to focus on the hardcoded stuff the modders wouldn't be able to fix.
As for crew management and damage control... yeah, that's another worrying omission. I really hope the "hidden" (and therefore un-repairable) damage is either removed, or shown as something like the hull percentage number from SH3. I hope this is also included under that #9 bugfix category.
