    If you use an ATI card I think Ati Tray Tools has a feature where you can save and restore icon location.

    Right click on the desktop, select view and deselect "align to grid"?

    The only option I have selected is "align to grid" and "show desktop icons". All others are deselected. Never had a problem with them moving about on their own. They should only do that if set to arrange by type, name, modified or size.

    That would be a pretty funny virus, nothing malicious, just moves your desktop icons around at random times, lol. I think Weatherman hit it on the head, make sure they aren't aranged by type or size or something.

    I believe it happens when you enter the lower resolution and the game draws forcing the icons to rearrange. Try this setting in the config. It is under the [Window] area:

    DrawIfNotFocused=0
