    I've installed it, but afterwards, I'm still in 4.07m. I've downloaded the patch to a non IL2 folder and then installed it from here straight to the default location. Where did I go wrong?

    Right now, there are 4 different SFS files in my IL2 folder. Does this seem correct?

    fb_3do18p.SFS
    fb_3do18.SFS
    fb_maps14.SFS
    files.SFS

    Is the fb_3do18p.SFS file an error?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!!

    If you have the downloaded version of 1946, this thread might help:

    You might have to browse to the right location for your FB folder. It tried to install into a 'sturmovk 1946' folder when I patched (and would have created a seperate folder if it didn't find it), and I needed to redirect it to my FB folder (under programs>ubi soft>Forgotten Battles).

    Those are 4 of the files in 408, verify the dates and sizes, in your game folder. These are the correct 408 sizes, modified Jan 30.
    fb_3do18.SFS = 15,581 KB
    files.SFS = 21,923 KB
    Those are the 2 that are different in 4071 and 408
    fb_3do18p.SFS is the same in both versions.
    fb_maps14.SFS is only used by 408 so it's OK.

    Check the sizes of the two files RxMan has posted. If they are different try to extract the patch into an empty folder and from ther copy and paste those two files ( or any that are missing) into your Il2 folder. There's a chance the installer failed to overwright some files.
