Hmmm, she rolls over in bed, smiling at you sweetly 'Darling, we need to renovate'.
The next three years are all nagging, bad colour choices, wrong parts, etc etc.

I replaced our kitchen sink yesterday, next weekend I'll be doing the bathroom.
I now go to work for a rest, recovering until the next weekend.

Any one else going/gone through this?

You're lucky! .....The last time a women spoke to me about "renovation", it we ME she was planning on getting rid of, not the sink!

Ha !! You may have lucked out there Kl !!! The only thing missing when a woman starts nagging is the race track for us to go racing aroung on ! My wife is not that bad though.... She looks at me for a minute or two... when I dont make eye contact she knows to walk away... then I just get it done before she hounds me about it later.

There always seems to be something to do, it always starts with the bathroom, then the kitchen, hell it never stops, after 6 years im still going, now on to the hall way, enough i say, oh well such is life.

Just installed a downstairs toilet, which required a partition wall in a converted garage.

Demolished old conservatory / sun room, dug out old foundations, laid new foundations to comply with building regulations, laid bracing and filled with 60 wheelbarrows of concrete. Bricks arriving tomorrow to build new conservatory. At the same time, knock out exterior wall of kitchen, build out to meet new conservatory outer wall. Build new internal partition wall. Build pitched roof incorporating velux windows (windable version, not electric opening sadly) over new conservatory and kitchen to existing Jambo Towers. Build in all required lighting including spotlights, swtiches and ring main. Lay new laminate flooring. Install new 'American' fridge/freezer, washing machine and dish washer. Tile kitchen walls. Lay new laminate kitchen floor.

Then I'm opening a beer.

9 years ago "we" put an upstairs addition to our house, doubling our space. Contractor did all the heavy stuff, but I did most of the interior stuff. Insulation, drywall, mudding and taping, priming and painting, staining widows and doors and polying. It was hard working and then coming home and working until 10:00, only to do it again the next day and weekends were only extra days to get mooore done. Yes it never ends.
