Hey everyone! Moderators spend a lot of time trying to answer everyone's questions in Imagine Town. We are constantly impressed with how great you are about helping each other as well! But did you know that asking a question is actually a great way to help out your fellow Imagine Town players? When you ask something on the forum and people answer, it's now there for others struggling with the same thing to come in and find an answer!
Here are a couple of tips for how you can make asking for help easier for those answering you, useful to people with the same question, and quicker for you to get fixed!
1. Check to see if someone already asked your question! If you ran into a snag it's likely that someone else has. If you contribute to a thread that was already started you are keeping all the good information and advice in the same place, as well as avoiding too much clutter on the forums that makes it difficult to browse through. Not only that, but you may not have to wait for an answer if it's already there!
2. Offer as much detail as possible up front. If you just say "I can't play!" that doesn't give much for support to go on. On your first post describe your problem or question as well as you can. If it's technical, include the browser you're using, any troubleshooting you've already tried, even a picture or quote of the exact error you're seeing. The more detailed the better! This helps us start narrowing down the issue. This goes for forums as well as help tickets!
3. Use a thoughtful title. On the forums we seem to end up with a lot of threads titled HELP or READ THIS. Well, if I'm the one looking for an answer to my problem, I'm going to end up clicking through a lot of unrelated threads or I may not see the thread I need. Try titles like "Loading freezes at 77%!" or "Can't complete the Comfy at Home challenge!" This will help you because the person who can answer your question will know to click on your thread, and it will help others having the same issue find you.
Help us make the forums better than ever by thinking about these guidelines! Thanks AWESOME players for all you already do!![]()
