I had this problem with no verbal report from crew for depth under keel command. I discovered that it was the mod Advanced Shift Keys that was causing the issue. Removing that mod fixed it. I was using version 1.9 of the mod. The mod author is aware of this problem and is looking at it. In the meantime if you do have this mod installed, remove it.Originally posted by SilentSi:

Also shadows still show though the tower's skin from looking at from outside as if it were plastic or fiberglass.
Now this next thing may or may not have been part of the fixes, but any map plotting done by the player except for the sub's course is not saved when saving game. Sunk ship icons are also not saved. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Woudln't the verbal feedback of "Surface the boat" be an appropriate response if you are indeed ordering crew members to man the gun AND you are submerged?
Or is this "Surface the boat" verbal report happening even though you ARE surfaced?

I seem to be getting a wierd shadow bug since the update from 1.0 to 1.2
All settings maxed out*
The pic shows the that the shadows aren't rendering correctly and appear fuzzy or pixelated, also when i move around as i am looking at the pixelated area's they flicker as though they are part of a 2D background.

Yes, even when surfaced. Did not even try to use deckguns while submerged...
I can't get the new patch to install. The game doesn't automatically load the patch. So I tried to run gu.exe
(located in the Support/GameUpdater folder). It looked like it download the patch then it locked up with a message saying that sh5.exe stopped working. Now whenever I run gu.exe it locks up almost immediately. I can still run the game by opening it normally, but the opening screen shows version 1.15. I bought the game from the Impulse download service, if that make any difference. Does anybody have any idea what I need to do?
1. Some Torpedo's do not aim cirrectly.
Type XI (G7es) and Type III (G7e) torpedo's Lead the target more then a boat length causing the torpedo's to miss and the Type XI is Passive Acoustic Homing so it is leading target way to much.
2. Mast Height is not being set when you identify target. Mast Height is defaulting to 20 for everything.
3. There is a Python Script error for Black May mission, making it so you can not talk to radio opperator when #1's Father is arrested.
4. Flak gunner(s) constantly miss aircraft targets. They aim far below the target aircraft and they do not lead targets.
5. Only two Radar equipement upgrades are available in game even though the .CFG files list three upgrade packages. The Type 60 never shows up.
6. Camoflauge paint sceme's still do not apply correctly.
7. Radio Contact Reports do not have Date/Time stamp.
8. Mission Objectives only state to "Patrol the specified area". What is the range of the patrol area? What is the length of time I need to patrol said area.
9. Once you complete a Mission Objective, BdU never assigns new Mission Objective forcing you to return to port to obtain new Mission Objective. If there are outstanding Mission Objectives available BdU should assign an objective or allow you to selct a new objective.
There are more issue's but I feel I am just wasting my time listing them.
Some of these have already been covered but this post is intended to show that these bugs are a general problem.
(1) After the torpedo officer's torpedo speed skills are improved and the torpedo speed is increased, the TDC no longer works properly with the result that torpedoes miss in front of the target. There is a mod that fixes this it should be fixed in game.
(2) It's not clear that the magnetic pistol works. Unfortunately, the few tests I've run have been in game conducting actual attacks. So far, when I set the torp depth, it seems to be off so that the torp strikes 0.5 to 1.0 meters ABOVE the keel. Once I am able to run a valid test in which the torp passes a meter below the keel then I'll report.
