The ladder issue is just a trial an error thing. I have no solution for it.
Use erazer and other tools on map (chart) activated by clicking the wheel in top right.
On most missions you will be given a target area, an icon on the map. Travel to it, which will complete first part of mission. Then to effectively find convoys wait until you see a red ship report. It will be a red square on the map. Plot a course on the chart to put yourself in front of the projected course of the convoy. Depending on difficulty level you should see it move along an imaginary line.

Thanks Bob,, For awhile I thought this was a dead site. By the way have you experienced any of these problems listed by others?.

Once again thanks. There are a few things
that are quirks but by and by it works. I just need to know if it was a graphics card issue. When I talk to the crew I get the same questions and answers. How does the radio work to send messages on reporting convoys for other U-Boats?. Also I can not listen for my self to the sonar ( turning the wheel, the turn the volume, etc. )

To use radar you must be surfaced and obviously have it installed. The same with hydrophones you need to upgrade to the rotating kind, second mission offers this.
To use hydrophones you must be submerged then use page-up and page-down keys to change bearing.
Radio is used via the Captains log.

Hi...I'm rather new to this forum. I was wondering if there has been any word yet on when the next patch will become avaliable.

Thanks for all the help now. I have to admit that there are many problems with the game. Some are founded but in defense of the game some of it is not. Like the game being boring because it is not constant action. I think they wanted to make the sim closer to how it was in real life. War: Hours of boredom interrupted by minutes of sheer terror. So on patrol it's sitting around searching and waiting to find a convoy. The only fault I found in the game is lack of information on how the game ( or controls ) work. It was trial and error but I did figure out how to make torpedo's hit and score.

I got my second mission to hunt for ships coming from the USA to Britain and tried a short cut going through the channel area to get there. Wrong!!!, I got sunk there even though I was submerged I popped up too soon and got blasted.

I wish someone would fix the search (FIND) function in this forum.

I have never in all my years of computer gaming (20 years) EVER seen a company release a product with so many errors and bugs... I have gotten this game off of STEAM and it came fully patched (version 1.2) and it is so full of bugs it is damn near unplayable. If it doesn't crash to desktop without notice it loads saved games with a bunch of super imposed tutorial windows all over the main screen.. if it is not doing that it is jumpy as hell while traveling and characters in the sub that do action do not perform them and give a waiting time... There is bugs in the captains log referring me de-bug information. There is so many bugs that I cannot and WILL NOT list them here for you. THAT IS YOUR JOB NOT MINE! I did not pay for this game to relay de-bug information!! What gives UBI the right to sell a program before it has even been beta tested properly (if at all) and make people PAY MONEY to tell YOU the problems with YOUR programming.. This IS a load of crap! I am telling all my user groups on STEAM about this product and THE MASSIVE over-loaded tech support forum... With this many people in here SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG! HOW DARE YOU!

(You Pay people to make sure it works before you sell it) (You don't make people pay to beta test your programs!) I will NEVER buy another title from you again and I will let all my USER groups on STEAM an EVE ONLINE know about your failure and taking advantage of the end user.
If you don't think you deserve bad publicity then you had better pull a magic rabbit out of your hat and quickly. As far as I'm concerned this is an example of corporate criminal activity.

Wow! Dude. As I understand your frustration your acting like you lost a 100,00.00 in the stock market. It's a freak'in game. Mine has small problems also, but it works OK to play. Maybe you need to update your PC?. That could be some of the problems. The game needs to be updated and fixed I grant you this,, but if it gets fixed isn't that the goal here?. Bashing is not going to solve the problem.
