This question has not been ignored amidst it all and I'm hopeful we'll have some communication for you all soon so please bear with me
May i ask how the forum having issues has stopped you finding out anything from your superiors/boss at UBISOFT? After all the feedback list was sent ages ago according to your good self right?

Sorry...i just find it hard to comprehend how a community forum having problems could have a knock on effect with you getting a reply from your boss. Which is surely "internal" and nothing to do with a community forum. Or are you trying to suggest that they have NO OTHER way of communicating with you other than THIS forum and not some other way like email?

    An explanation would be nice.

I think what she's trying to say is that as a forum manager her duties in trying to get this crazy forum working again have taken up all her time recently which is why she hasn't been able to follow up with the issue of no communication from Ubisoft for one of their products.

E3 was a flimsy excuse for information about a game that no one at E3 was talking about, and forum problems here shouldn't really affect Ubisoft Romania's ability to give us information about what they are working on, but still Ms Kleaneasy is doing what she can and it's a LOT more than Ubisoft has ever tried to do.

Just accept that Ubisoft has given up on Silent Hunter, as I have, and you'll be a lot happier. Oh, and ArmA2 just shipped. Yay!

Whilst i agree that this forum is important Eoweth, saying that you've been to busy because of the forum problems is still an excuse. Again with all due respect to you and Ms-KleanEasy...i didn't pay for the forum and i CAN still use it. I DID however, pay for the game and CAN'T use it at all. Not looking for an argument...just can't help feeling it's a convenient way of stalling ANY news for another week. Call me cynical. But if UBI would be forthcoming with info...i wouldn't have to be cynical.

As for ArmA2, yes i assume you mean Operation Arrowhead. Funnily enough i'm just installing the ArmA2 1.7 patch now...Just found out it was released a few days ago. UBI take note...there are professional developers that do ACTUALLY support their products and communicate with their community. Shame you cannot grasp this basic concept.

Guys very sorry if you think its an excuse, I can assure you its not.

E3 affects us all regardless of the games on show because the vast majority of the company are in attendance at the show.

The forum issues also contributed because it left many of us within Ubisoft chasing our tails trying to get them resolved leaving little time to chase up pre E3 questions that had not yet been addressed.

With all that said you will be hearing from someone soon so please bear with me

I've had the issue of the game just shutting down since the new patch. Never had the issue before the patch but so often post-patch that the game has become unplayable.

I've been reading this thread and waiting to read anything productive from Ubi or forum managers. To date nothing has changed, that's 2 months. This is ridiculous, create a patch that at the very least fixes the one issue that makes the game unplayable rather than a patch fixing multiple issues, most of which don't shut down the game.

We have all been "bearing with you" since the inception of this game. I think your requests for patience have worn thin and you really need to expedite repairing the issues.

I'm not trying to be rude but please don't bother responding to me, hearing how concerned you are isn't going to help the problem.

I have just bought SH 5 ihave also had 3&4, I would like to see a more informative manual as there are things on the keypad I cant find in the manual. Apart from that I will keep trying to work it all out. Thanks for the games up till now they have been great. Wexford

I (as many others) have been experiencing ctd. For me this seems to be linked to when i 'talk' to crew members.

It also seems to occur less frequently if i manually save freqently (i have disabled saving online.) This did not occur with pathc 1.1, although i did play less often with 1.1 too.

I have also been experiencing loss of control when moving through the sub or viewing externally. The movement will 'run-away' until i press 2 opposing directions on the keyboard at the same time. (Frustrating!)

Audio is quite flaky...at times the under water sound will still play when viewing externally although i am viewing out of water and well above the sub.

It seems for me an additional bug exists.

Each time I encounter an hostile ship my game crashes as soon as this ships fires any deck guns. The ships can be either destroyers or ACM's. Usually I have between 0.1 to 3 seconds after the first shoot until my game crashes and takes the full PC with it. Next thing I see is my BIOS.

I doubt it is a speed problem, everything runs smoothly even at 32x on visual or 4000x on map.

    System:
    Windows XP SP3
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
    2 Gig RAM
    ATI HD4850 (512 MD)

Some support would be highly appreciated.

is this 0.1 -> 3 second delay proportional to your distance from the ship that is firing at you ?

i.e. your sound card driver cant handle the flak gun firing sound, or the sound of the round hitting your sub/water around you?
