Not sure how but by blind luck,it seems to play reasonably well ( esp over water) BUT my gunnery is terrible esp in German planes.Trying to line up gunsight with Track IR on is crazy hard;will toggel enable Track IR turn it on & off as is possible in Il-2 by a designated key & simply give me a centered up gunsight view? What happens in Il-2 is that the crosshairs remain centered regardless of head movement scanning left ,right up down, and leaning in & out or side to side is disabled. This makes for great gunnery esp in German planes where sites are off-set,while still allowing one to scan the outside world and go from wide angle & toggle gunsight views.
Also trying to get outside/exterior views of the aircraft is a tricky experience when these views are also guided by TrackIR...getting the closeup view is a matter of head position & chance. Finally in Il-2 you can zoom in & out using the mouse, but in CloD it seems dependent again on proximity to screen of the viewer's Track IR head device...believe me this is somthing less than precise. What is a way to changes the controlling factor of getting a zoom between close up & backing off?
tyanks!
I use three keys regularly with my TrackIR 5 in CloD
Centre.
Precision.
On/Off.
Centre restores the reticle image to the reflector.
Precision slows down the response to head movement and makes aiming easier.
On/Off allows you to view the externals using the mouse (there is a special command to enable this I think.
I'll be writing a profile for TrackIR once the latest patch is confirmed.

ummh ... the whole point in a reflector gun-sight is the cross hairs track the target (regardless of the relationship of head and sight) and hence do NOT stay centered.

One trick that I learn is in TrackIR to get a better center view of crosshair in lets say the 109. When you press center key for TrackIR where your head is is gonna be center view.
So, move your head to the left or any side lower or up if necesary and hit center then return your head to your original sitting view and waala your head is gonna be closer to the center crosshair. Try many times until you have it perfect, then is a matter of time until eye photocopy or find a sweat spot in cockpit for later fixing.
Hope it help, it did for me.

the Precision, on/off settings are in the TIR software; Profiles section, as well as check box to enable/ disable the yaw, pitch, roll up/down, left/right, rotate and Trueview (which allows for a bend from the neck experience)
[Shift F1] by default enables gunsight view ingame, so it might suit to change this to a single keystroke and also assign this key for TIR on/ off?
you might also need to remove any key/ POV settings for Views ingame
