WELCOME TO THE END OF IT ALL - THE ECLIPSE
Have you looked around you recently? This world is not the world you were born in. These creatures, lurking in the darkness, have grown. They have prepared this day for a long time… the day of the eclipse. Today, they will execute Mr. Dark’s evil will. Covered by his cloak of darkness, the world will become his slave. Happiness and light will lose their meaning.
It is too late for us now. Only they who stand against His will, still have a chance to rise… and shine.
INFORMATION
Teaming up with the Robo-Pirates, Mr. Dark has become more powerful than ever. He has not yet lost his dream of robbing the world of its heart. Electrix, an electoon and one of his most loyal servants, turns from the dark side, and together with his friends, he travels through 6 worlds to defeat Mr. Dark and his allies once and for all.
The screenshots were taken from the project in Q1 2009. You can watch a video ( recorded in June 2009 ) HERE.
A second demo is set to release in Q3 or Q4 2009. This demo will show you the first level of the game.

Cool idea. Must be mega hard since you've got two enemies teamed up.

WOW! This looks absolutely astounding! And to think you've been doing this all by yourself too! From what this demo shows us, it looks extremely thorough and well done. c:
Did you make the music yourself by the way, or is that borrowed? Because it's wonderful. Also love how the music sounds different when you dive under water.

Thanks everyone!
And actually, the music is one of the two things I didn't do myself. I downloaded the music off Newgrounds, from several artists.
I'm thinking about asking CloneVas ( the one who's remaking all the R1 music ) to make a soundtrack specific for the game though. I've listened to his other music, and it's really good too...

That. Looks. Orsum.
If it ever gets released properly, I'm buying it.

Thanks
But buying? No, it'll be freeware.
Besides, I don't think I would even be allowed to charge money for a game based on the Rayman universe...

Freeware? Even better

Thanks!
I can't wait to have the demo finished so you can try it out. :P
Anyway, here's some progress.
I haven't worked on this game very much this week. Actually, I only made the level design ( not the graphics yet ) for the third part of the first level.
Also, the guy who I asked to make music for my game a few weeks ago doesn't seem to reply at all. That's why I decided to have a go at making music myself, and here's the result. I'm quite satisfied with it, even if it's obviously not as good as professional game music.

Here it is! ^^
I plan to use it as the main menu music, or maybe as a theme for Electrix, because it fits great for both the main menu and Electrix's story.
Please tell me if you like it or not, or what you would like to change to it.
