It would be nice to know the game settings they are running. It would be nice to see some benchmarks with water=3.

In the firingsquad preview, PF looks very CPU limited, or is that a product of using an ntrk?

The following site has FPS for pacific fighters for the the new card, I think it will kick some butt, however, I am going to see what ATI new card has to offer before laying down $600 dollars, ouch!!!!!!

HardOCP has a great in depth preview (as do many others) ...
    http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=Nzg0LDE=

Great looking card. Dang things VERY fast ... and screams at 1600x1200 with 4AA & 4AF ... some other nice goodies too.

    It's going to be a good summer ... ATI's X900's come out in a month ... 32 pipes!

We can't lose! Having both companies compete like this is always very good for us flightsimers and gamers in general.

One thing I can't figure out about the new 7800 ... why don't they vent out the back of the case like the X850XT PE's do? The 7800GTX's are hitting 80C ... thats a lot of heat going into your case?

new equipment at BoB release (2007?) will blow this stuff away...pick up 7800Ultra on the day 1c releases BoB for $150.00 tops along w/new mobo and still get change back from the clerk.

Apparently this card is as fast or faster than 2 SLI 6800 Ultras in the Battlefield 2 demo. It also draws less power than a single 6800 Ultra.

But I'm not spending $600 for a video card.

I'll probably replace my 9800 Pro with one of these... in early 2007.

Its not worth upgrading to a 7800 from a 6800 as there is little or no frame rate increase in FB. I would wait for two years for BOB's release and upgrade then if you already have a system that runs FB well.
