I don't think its ever going to come to PS2, although I definately think its worth buying an XBOX. Not just for Far Cry: Instincts (although it is worth it), but for Halo 2 and all the other sweet games only for XBOX. If you really want a quality console then I would definately suggest XBOX. Although I don't feel like getting into that right now because I don't want to get too off topic. Basicaly, I'm trying to say that you should deffinately consider either getting an XBOX or wait and buy the 360.

I think your right... as long as the 360 is compatible with x-box games that would be the best bet.

If you buy the $400 version it comes with "backwards compatability" (allows you to play old games), but only the best sellers are allowed to be played on the 360 which kinda sucks.

And you can conect your new 360 to your old Xbox for lan parties. Got a TV upstairs? One down stairs? You got your self no screen cheeting. This christmas is gunna rock.

Here's how Backward Compatability works for 1st-Gen Xbox games.

MS Xbox-DIv is compiling a list of 1st-Gen titles that are having emulations made for them as we speak. The list could be released in approximately 2 weeks time.

There will be Emulations available for download from Live (Silver or Gold membership) and can be done straight to your Memory Sticks, or HDD.

SO you will be able to go into any store that has the Xbox360 In-STore Kiosk available and log on, download the Emulations for the game you have either purchased right then and there, or games you already own.

As for newer 1st-Gen Xbox games. MS Xbox-Div is encouraging developers to include the emulations directly on the game disc, so that the gamer can play the game straight out of the case either on the 1st-Gen Xbox it was designed for, or the new Xbox360.

This will save the downloading needed. Also, P Moore stated only a few days ago, that the emulations will also be done like an "Update" and you probably won't even know it's been done if you do have a HDD, as it will be done in the background. If you don't have the HDD, he said they will be sending out an email notice once you've registered with them naturally, so that when an emulation/update is available, you can simply log on and use your memory sticks etc irrespective of your membership status, ie Gold or SIlver.

Hope that clears up a few issue around the HDD, Memory Stick and BC..

Thanks dude you really changed my mind from getting BatlleFeild 2 MC, to this game since my brothers home from college hes gonna get it. BUT WHAT SUCKS IS THAT EB, GAMESTOP DONT HAVE A COPY IN 200 MILES WTF WHY DONT THEY HAVE ONE COPY IN 200 MILES WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEM??

That is why I preordered FCI, I had a feeling that it was going to become this popular.

Have a good look around, you might be able to find a copy at some of the less poplular stores, or you might be able to locate a retrurned or preowned copy. Either way I hope you don't have to wait too long to get this great game.

Hey durandal what's you gamertag, right on! Who cares about halo! FarCry instincts blows that thing into the wind! Yeah! This game shows that the Xbox has SO much capability left within it. 360 is coming out way too early. All the developers should've stepped down before so these systems could show their stuff.
