You gots to know,there are people who start clubs and the clubs make them more seen. That's what KINDA makes people popular,but popularity does not matter,no matter how popular they are,they are still a person!

Some girls here are popular because they are super helpful, liked by many, and they make their presence known in many ways.

Some girls here are popular because they just make their presence known. They post a lot, they go to all the events, and they talk to everyone they see.

Some girls here are not so well known, but that doesn't mean they aren't liked by many.

What's important is not how many people know who you are, but what kind of person you are. If you are kind, thoughtful, helpful, creative, this makes you a good person and you will be liked by the people who DO know you whether you are popular or not.

Thank you Ubi Janine. Just because you aren't known every where you go doesn't mean you aren't popular. Like Ubi Janine was talking about, they are popular for those reasons.

I was just reading these replies, and I think I need to talk to you guys about the word popular.

Just a simple question before I go into some huge rant.....

What do you guys think the word POPULAR means?
An amazing song in the musical Wicked? A simple 7 letter word used all around school? A word used on this thread alone, more than likely over 50 times?

Because guess what? To me, you guys are using it negatively. Not all of you, but most of you.

Being, quote on quote, 'popular', isn't everyone knowing you. It isn't everyone liking you, it isn't even having the best clothes, or hair, or the most posts.

To ME, being popular is having at least one friend to talk to. To ME, being popular is being nice to others you don't know. To ME, being popular is going to talk to that one person who seems to be wandering around.

To ME, being popular is knowing who you are.

This is a quote that I used to have as my signature. It really speaks to a LOT of what is being said on this thread.

Guys. Like I said before, this forum isn't to build up what you guys think is called "popularity". This forum is to give back to the community.

Its cuz I was never emotional when it really mattered. I find myself yawning just to let out a few tears.

I know I'm in the Hall of Fame,but at the mall once somebody sent me a message saying "Your in the hall of fame!!!" I responded back and said "Yep,that's me!" She responded back saying "You're awesome!!!" I told her "You too!!" back.But anyways my point is I might be in the hall of fame,but my threads don't get that much comments,they get alot but not alot(see what I mean?),I am trying to challenge myself everyday I get on the forums to try to read every thread in each place(place like girl talk),each day,in less than an hour,and I have to comment on each one.Here is what I mean:
1.Go to Girl Talk,The Hangout,or one of those threads to other threads
2.Try to read all the threads and include a comment on each one you look at in less than an hour

I am Kind of relizing the popularity thing now.I was on the other day and I saw a thread.So i clicked it and I commented and then i came back this morning and its all at the back of the forums!What Nicole Probably meant to say is you should try to look at as many posts as possible and comment or rate them I'm sure If We do something called Rate Back Comment Back then we will all get a chance to get our threads seen!I will definitley make a thread for that soon so PLEASE look no matter what.It will teach you a lesson.
