without a tool to extract a tooth with a cavity eventually it will infect and you will die

so how could the primitive man have survived this?

i bet cavities are actually caused by mind control fluorine or such

i got the idea form when i got this program to acquire space and actually it filled the pc hard drive

You really should get out and learn. In some cases the tooth was removed (with a wooden stick pounded with a stone) and in other cases the person died. How they know? From really old buried skulls. And not just cavemen.

so im deluded for being paranoid on fluorine on water

i dont want to have the poison fluorine but seems someone considered i should have no choice on this

hey i have an idea lets put antipsicotics on water

it would be socially very good, less crime, less expenses in jails

why is it stupid to put antipsicotics in water and no fluorine

lets see how long before someone mentions strangelove

    edit:

oh and yes the primitive man didnt have acces to this:

No, they didn't have as many cavities as today, if you mean by 'primitive man' our hunter-gatherer ancestors. They ate a much healthier diet.

it has to be a pleasure to rule the world with such dumb masses

people have fluorine like beaches to fight cavities keep having tenths of cavities and keep having fluorine like beaches

when im able to time travel with my mind ill bring as a souvenir from a paralel time line tooth paste with extra lead

lead is to fight cavities everybody knows

it doesnt make you dumber, your crazy you should see lovestrange

    those are lies spread

like that baby lamb tastes good when not even animals eat them

yes and lead was added to fuels as antidetonants, theres no other way

is not to make people dumb and docile into having drugs that make you still dumber and believe its to fight cavities

that you still have cavities is a minor detail not to take into account by people with common snese

    talking about lies

in india they spread the lie that urine is the best medicine

poor people drink urine to heal and rich people go to expensive hospitals paid by the urine drinkers

thats why people peace upstream the river, they are caring for your health dont get parnaoid

As Andy pointed out, hunter-gatherers (that goes for modern versions too, like the Eskimos) have very little cavities. Primitive man was mostly hunters, living from meat rather than sugary plants. That said, the famous Kabwe man and possibly the Turkana boy died from cavities. Gorillas have much thicker enamel than humans, allowing them to live for years before a cavity becomes a serious problem. The usually die in their 40'ies, well before cavities becomes life threatening.

Cavities were practically lethal, but humans didn't live very long to suffer from them - only 30 to 40 years maximum. FF is right about thicker enamel on some of our great ape cousins.

It's easy to take for granted the advances in life span and reduction in death rates due to medicine. You probably don't remember the many life saving vaccinations you had as a child, as well as sterile tools or environments for dressing wounds. The water from your tap is probably the cleanest that any organism has been able to enjoy. Water from a "fresh" stream contains numerous organisms and contaminants which can kill you. You should be thanking western infrastructure for all these luxuries

But if you don't want to drink fluoridated water, then buy a filter or bottled water instead.

Yes and no - they did not consume an over-abundance of sugars, fats, and proteins, and no artificial crap, but the variety and nutrition at times wasn't so great. Earlier humans were pretty small for this reason, and which is why our bodies are very good at absorbing and storing sugars, carbohydrates, and fats, even though they are now readily available.

Fun little fact if I remember it correctly - our brains consume 20% of our bodies' energy, and can only process sugars for that energy.

aside from not drinking soda or eating hard candy, primitive man would've still had receding gum lines with age. Eventually that leads to tooth loss and infection and probably had more to do with the shorter life spans than the actually occurrence of cavities.

    I'm no dentist though.
