Please eliminate the brake release sound when the first B-17 begins its take off roll. Real aircraft use hydraulic brakes, not compressed air operated brakes. Any brake noise comes in the form of a squealing sound as the brake pads contact the rotors when the brakes are applied.

Otherwise, I greatly enjoyed your film.

I am grateful for the movie being accepted on the Machinima site, who ever decided that; thank you.

Again Joe; Your cinematography knowledge and ideas is very inspiring and should have included you in the credit roll as I have cemented about 90% of your advice in this movie, thanks again for the last set of comments in this thread which is meticulously thorough; my appreciation.

During the past 2 months this movie and its predecessor were presented at 2 other forums as well: M4T and SimHQ. In all, these two movies received about 50-60 comments. It is interesting to look at these comments and try to make some conclusions :

    1) Viewers love proper sounds and I would say the sound experience make up about 50% of the enjoyment package. Especially nice and volumed engine sounds went of very well. Most comments said something about it.

    2) Music choice is a very personal matter, received only 2-3 negative comments on music choice (which I understand). There were overwhelming positive feedback on the music choices.

    3) Detail is important but there is a cut-off point otherwise you will never finish the job. Although these two movies had massive basic flaws, a) very bad resolution and b) totally wrong skins(Libs had the Pacific default skins), there were not a single posting saying it is a bad movie. The funny thing is that SimHQ and M4T are the skinners paradise and only one person picked up the skin mistake.(member of this forum: Jarink)

    4) Unfairness in movies upsets viewers a bit, in the first version no German planes were shot down and received several complaints about it (US patriots mostly I presume!!) Second movie three German planes got shot down and it went of well.

    5) People love action and lots of it, received many complements regarding this.

    Hi biltongbru,

Nothing much to add over what the others have already said, it was a pleasure to watch

What stood out for me was the "picture style", very creative and individual, I really appreciate the time you took with the filters to get that look

A great start for the 2008 IL2 movie forum, many thanks for your efforts.

Check the first page of FSM (click my sig), you'll see who the team are

...and one last addition, we decided that you deserve a newcomer's Silver Oleg and it is now added to the site listing.

Bru, I listed the movie as 'by TLR' as that is what you had in the credits. Would you prefer 'by biltongbru'? Also, would you like an email or website added to the detailed information?

PS, we aren't calling it Flight Sim Machinima any more - it is now Flight Sim Movies.
