Hi all,
Please forgive this basic question, but after reading the last 5 pages of this thread I am a little confused. Where are you guys getting the 96.89 drivers? Is that the version I should be using? When I went to nvidia's site to update my drivers all they had available was 93.71. I followed nvidias instructions, removed my old 81.85 drivers, and loaded the 93.71. Everything except PF seems to work great. PF now has real micro stutters. Any advice?
Thanks.
One main reason to use the 96.89 Beta is that it fixed the 'black arch' that was present with earlier drivers when you use water=3 or water=4.Originally posted by huggy87:

The guru3d web site keeps an extensive collection of drivers, both old and recent, this is the download page for nVidia Forceware 32bit drivers
Get the 96.89 from this link
About the stutters, make sure you set up correctly the profile for il2fb.exe in the nVidia control panel, or even better, use nHancer to set the profiles, as mentioned earlier in this thread. Good luck

Hi DaimonSyrius. Maybe you can give me some info on the 96.89 drivers. I have a 7950GT and when I try to install the 96.89 drivers I get a "no device found" message. I read on the Guru3D forum where you need to add two lines to the .ini to make it work. I looked at the .ini but am not sure where to add the info, and what the info should be. I am currently running the 92.91 drivers which are "ok". Will I find much of a performance boost, or better IQ with the 96.89's?
Thanks in advance.

Sultan,
I'm using a 7950GXT and the 96.89 drivers. Best drivers EVER. No black circle, great speed (36+ in BD @ 1600X1200 and at "High Quality" setting in Nvidia Control panel)
But I did not need to edit any files to make them work. I installed them straight from Guru3D.
Don't forget to enable SFR in your FB profile!
