I just figured I'd make a thread to see if anyone had found any fixes to this issue. I recently dumped $2500 into a brand new computer system, with one of my highlights being a GeForce 7800GTX OC. I knew this card would allow me to run water=3 with minimal frame rate drops.
So, just having configured my new system today, I installed FB+AEP+PF together, tested it and of course was amazed. I patched it up to 4.01m and then suddenly found several graphical errors occuring. I know for a fact I have the latest drivers for all my systems, and was greatly disappointed to read that people are suggesting I downgrade in order to be able to play PF minus the graphical errors. I tried reinstalling but to no avail. I just don't think that's fair, if I downgrade (I tested this afternoon) I can't play any of my other latest games with out problems that the 77 series drivers fixed.
I really am hoping there is a patch to fix this soon as I don't want to have to remove my 9600 from my old comp to be able to play this game. I am making this thread here in hopes to see if anyone has any fixes other than the aforementioned one. And for the record, I love my 7800 despite the problems I've had....plus as promised, here are my new system specs:
AMD Athlon 64 4000 (2.4 ghz)
2 Gigs of RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7800GTX OC (not running SLi...yet)
2 160 gig hard drives in SATA RAID config
17" Samsung LCD Flatpanel monitor (8ms response time)
Logitech Wireless Keyboard a& Mouse
I'm using the JNCS integrated sound card config, can't get the specs, but it's better than your default onboard.

#1 post this in comunity help.
#2 be sure to discribe the problems in as much detail as you can
#3 be sure to post a complete DXdiag.
remember the lates drivers are not always the best drivers. that goes for more than GPU's.
also be sure to check temps both cpu, mobo and card. your card should have built in heat monitor. if you have a asus MOBO you should install asus tool wich should have come on a cd with you mobo if not try motherbordmonitor. also check and be suree you psu is doig what it should.

Go to simhq.com il2 forums and look for posts by ming..he is the nvidia/il2 expert. Apparently from what I remember to avoid the texture problems you must run in excellent mode, not perfect. But, as i said, check the forums there..ton of info about this subject.

I recently upgraded from an ATI R9700Pro to an Elsa GeForce 6800GT, using Forceware v77.77 on a fresh install of WinXP. I have graphic corruptions too but only with OpenGL. When I use DirectX, everything's peachy!

Don't use 77 series drivers if you want to run Il-2FB in perfect, it just doesn't work right now.
BTW, you can run BF2 allright with 69 or 72 series drivers, as long as you turn dynamic shadows off (also gives you a big boost in FPS).

I'm using the tweaked 75 series drivers (by X-tremeG?) on my 7800GTX with no graphical corruptions. I probably won't upgrade, if 77 series are having issues.
One more thing to look at though - did you use Driver Cleaner Pro before you installed your current drivers? Quite often 'graphical corruptions' are caused by fragments of old drivers that are left behind on a system when you simply install a new set of drivers over another. You might be getting the old corruptions that happened with the 66.93 NVidia drivers, because it wasn't completely removed when you upgraded to 77.xx
Just a possibility
Google Search 'Driver Cleaner Pro' - it's a free application. Works wonders. Follow the instructions in the readme to use it.

Are the graphical glitches you guys are talking about missing parts of aircraft and objects?
If so, I get the same problem with my 6800GT with the 77. series Drivers. Pieces of aircraft go invisible, but flicker back on if you put your navigation lights on for example.
Strange thing is this only began to happen when I upgraded to patch 4.01. I could use previous versions of the game with this same driver perfectly fine.
