Yes.
And furthermore there was someone who last summer reported his cat hit the enter key for him well before he was ready to fire but the torp hit and the ship sank anyway.
Though if you don't want a major mod or anything, I would recomend getting the setkey util from subsim.
With this mod you can change what the keys do.
I would recomend that you change the enter key to Time Compression = 1 and change your fire torpedo to ctrl+enter.
After you make this change you will find that you will not have any more accidental torpedo shots and the enter key stopping TC is so useful that you won't know how you lived without it.

I remember, once, on my way out of the harbor, i accidently fired like 3 or 4 torpedos, I was mad.

Too many times for me to want to admit
but since playing SH3 with the Uber mods I have thankfully never had the problem.
I still find it quite funny, maybe the original devs thought they could have some fun at our expense when drawing up the controls/key board layout

Like the P key, I always want to hit that for Periscope.
Like in the Bernard Video, "You Idiot, You Bastard, You Knucklehead". "Sorry Kaleun, it won't happen again".

Oh all those torpedoes i wasted that way. Thankfully in TGW the enter key torpedo firing is disabled.

Yeah, I do that too. I guess because the "O" key is for observation scope, I catch myself thinking "P" key for regular periscope.
Also the "Shift" key speeds up operations like rotating periscope and sighting in the deck gun... sometimes I accidentally hit "Enter" & launch a torp.

goto
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg\Commands_en .cfg
backup the file so that any changes can be discarded later.
edit it with a notepad.
find this line
[Cmd313]
Name=Fire_torpedo
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x0D,,"Enter"
change it to
[Cmd313]
Name=Fire_torpedo
Ctxt=1
Key0=0xD,c,"Ctrl+Enter"
there you go ... you will only launch the torpedo using the ctrl + enter combination vs just the enter key. You can change it to other keys as you wish given the right hex code and given that it is not taken by another command.
You can customize this file to your heart's content to re-map the entire keyboard. I have changed the keyboard layout for my taste as I didn't think the generic one was well planned.
XMAS came early.
