Well then let's hope the EA game w/ Crytek will be as good or better than Far Cry. Y did Crytek betray??

Crytek did not betray anyone. FC:I is being made by Ubisoft Montreal . . . Crytek did not have anything to do with the console version.

Ubisoft owns the rights to Far Cry, so you will see FC2 from them.

I'm encouraged by the part where the review says "brutally difficult at times."

Also the part where he saysb "20-30 hours of gameplay."

8.7 is a very good score.

indeed. halo 2 was a big disapointment on my part. the single player was to short. the multiplayer was a lil fun for a little bit then it just got old. even with the new maps its still kind of boring to me. this game is going to do the things right that halo 2 didn't in my opinion. just with the map editor theres endless gameplay.

I bought FarCry the day it came out. Love it to death, hands down the greatest game ever. Played the FC:I demo on xbox yesterday and wasn't disappointed. I'm so used to the PC version that it seemed foreign to me. Subtle differences...point is, the game is going to rock. Crytek made the game to get themselves noticed, apparently. EA must have thrown more money at them than Ubisoft was willing to part with, who knows....just know that Ubisoft used the physics engine, not the developers. To me the game looks like SplinterCell on a tropical island. FarCry2, if there is one, will be an Ubisoft project, but it won't be as good as the original.

The single player should be quite challenging, even frustrating, as the mag states, so don't expect a cake-walk. If you don't know what a trigen is.......it ain't pretty, or easy to kill for that matter. I'm jealous of the multiplayer, 'specially the dual weapons and ATV's. Almost makes me want to get an xbox....
