Where was the location of the photo mission? Some of the photo recon missions, like Dailen, are FUBAR and you can't complete them. One of these days, when I have a lot of spare time on my hands, I plan on checking them one by one to fix the problems. Until then, they just can't be completed.

I had the same problem with this mission. Finally I took the 2 photos that were available in the harbor, then I went offshore into deeper water and waited for the next available contact. When I met contacts I submerged and snapped the photos of 2 or 3 more ships. The mission then completed.

I noticed that and I went into the files and edited ALL the photo missions. There are 2 values I changed, both to one (1), in each and that fixed it. I found a bunch that would be "uncompletable". I hated those friggin' missions! All better now!

I wonder if i should change these to simple, Go to area missions, in the guise of "reconoiter X harbor" in text.

Im not entirely sure why some of these photo missions don't complete.

In the capaign data files, IF I interpreted them right, there is a value for the # of contacts that must be photoed. There is also a value given, which I think places a "value" on each photo towards completion. I changed 'em both to one (1) and that fixed it.

I am at work for another 3 hrs. When I get home I'll copy them to show you. What ever I found/did worked on every recon I've done since.

I was stuck on a second or third recon mission a few months ago. I went into the files and what I seem to have found as the problem was this, the mission data file seemed to want 5 contacts photoed. Game was spawning only 3 ships in the harbour. That value came earlier in the file. Later toward the end of the file is a value which seems to represent how many photos or a value for each photo that is taken to complete the objective. I am thinking back a few months, so I can't be more specific til I look at 'em again.
