Actually the problem is the following:
Since the grand part of the users found a solution with non official methods to this issues the ubi support is taking less seriuosly the problem.
personally i am not able with any method to give a solution to the problem,and my copy results unusable at all.
support is giving up ,i guess,because the number of copies affected by this issue is now a minor percentage.
this is making me very upset.
Here in Italy we have the right of refund within 8 days from the purchase...they are slowly passing by...
@ Mr_Shade
Thanks for adding to the post but actually i would recommend to enter the command right after updating the hosts file because if you only save the host file and start the game, it could possibly happen that the UBI Servers are still blocked adresses in the cache.
@All
Before you scream and start blaming UBI and/or EUG (as you already did in the first 4 pages) think about the fact that around 90% of you have manually edited the "Hosts -file" in order to bypass a UBI DRM. That these guys are still helping everyone and still providing the "hosts-file" tipp is actually more than user&customer friendly.
If you think im lying, try to get support e.g. for your jailbroken ipod.... what i wanna say by this, is that there are actually companys out there which handle such things in a different way.
Keep that in mind the next time you blame the devs and publishers.
No, I'm not a ubi neither a eugen member
LOL, I was wondering where all those ubi dns entries were coming from...Originally posted by armInIuS1988:

Now, while this may be true for some of the people having this issue, I can say without a doubt that I did NOT edit any files on my computer, nor have I ever played a previous ubisoft title on my computer, yet I am still having this issue. Therefore, I tend to feel that ubisoft is obligated to at least assist me with this issue. Now, I'm not saying that they haven't been working on it, but there still isn't a definite fix, which from a consumer's standpoint is frustrating to say the least.Originally posted by armInIuS1988:

Edit: I feel this post came off a little wrong, I would like to express that I appreciate all the work that Ubisoft is putting in to fixing this issue, and the kindness of the community managers in dealing with the angry and, at times, rude comments.
