I migrated to EASA2 and this Friday I will have conquered the Cardio Kickstart Program on Intermediate.
I can honestly say that I am seeing very good results. The program wasn't easy...it really challenges you. For instance, I started dreading the Track Outrun where you have to jog and then sprint past the other runners on the track...basically giving you an interval workout. I would be very winded by the time I was done and my heart-rate displayed on the screen reflected that accurately.
I also loved the Step Aerobics that actually worked with my real world aerobic step.
The floor work still gave me some problems...until I adjusted the camera (using the tracking calibrator) so that it showed more of the floor. Then it seemed okay after that.
However...I actually tried The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout (BLUW) over the weekend and that is really the best exercise "game" at the moment. It's like they took the best parts of YSFE (A holographic representation of you) and EASA2 (programs that set up specific days you work out on a calendar, better sensor input) and brought them together. Even better, is that when you do a randomly generated workout based on your skill level, at the end you have the option to save that day's workout in case you would like to do it again some time. You can also build your own workout from their selection of exercises. It can also use a stability ball and resistance bands.
After the Cardio Kickstart program, I will be move over to doing the BLUW Bootcamp program.

I started doing the EASA2 Cardio Kick Start program on Medium and I'm finding it incredibly easy, so much so that I feel a need for doing one of my own custom half/hour workouts after it. And of course I'm still doing a workout in YSFE as well, which I enjoy greatly.
I'm seriously considering Zumba Fitness for a third option. I love moving to rhythm.

OK, I've completed 3 sessions for 9 week program on hard (EASA2). Impressions:
1. I wanted more impact - I got it. Lots of jumping, running, jumping etc.. to challenge my wounded knees.
2. With that said I'm missing some elements of YSFE: - some core, more controlled stuff EASA does not have. Also while fitness classes in YSFE give you an option of 10+ minutes of uninterupted workout (cardio boxing), EASA keeps getting you up then stopping you (loading break after each ex. etc...). Sometimes it is good to get a break, but sometimes I feel like a rabbit. (run, chew grass, run...)
3. I am in software industry and while I understand what is a port from one platform to another and "cutting features to be profitable and ship" the "losing player" issues in EASA are ridiculous. Can be lived with/handled, but ridiculous.
4. Porting from wii is so obvious it hurts. Playing boxing yesterday and seeing my ugly character totally out of synch...I just could not get into it.
5. Much higher tolarance toward when and how you do the repetitions. This could be good or bad. For me its good because I believe I know how to control/pace myself. As a side note I suspect that the high tolerance is sometimes more of a lazyiness in implementation than EA letting you improvise. It does require you to control yourself a bit, but I am OK with it.
6. Looking at the schedule - 9 week program increases in length with time. It also changes workouts and focus for every session, So hopefully this will be good and get better with time. I still feel there is not enough focus on some workouts (ex - arms), so I started doing a small 7-10 min custom workout with push ups, bicep curls, crunches (btw big + for on the floor stuff - even with detection problems..
In short I am really torn apart. I will probably go on with 9 week program, but I'll try to squeeze YSFE (boxing + Man Ult Fat loss) at lease twice a week. Just feels like EASA is missing some of the stuff I want. Hopefully my schedule will allow it.
Biggest loser will probably wait until I am done with 9 weeks although it sounds like a good compromise...

i moved to EASA2 about a week ago and i like it a lot. I started doing the 3 week program on medium but after the 3rd day i had to bump the intensity to high because medium felt too slow and easy. Even hard feels too slow and easy on some things. I also created my own custom high intensity 20-minute cardio workout that i do 4-6 times a day.

Yeah, I guess that would be the way to go. I am waiting to familiarize with all those exc. names before creating my own workout. I am happy that I decided to go with 9 week high. First workout looked hard, but now it's all good.
I was not working out for 5 years and it was YSFE that got me to the point were I could do that
. EASA is just giving me some new approaches that YSFE can't (vice versa may apply).

I have placed an order for a copy of EASA2.
