    Okay this is AWESOME!!!

My BFFE, Salacia Bright Star, drew this picture of me! and it happened to have my book title on it! So it's going to be my book cover for a bit! But isn't it awesome! It's the best thing ever!

ALL NEW CHAPTERS TO BE POSTED HERE!

    Chapter 8

Raymond slowly gets out of the drivers seat of the limo, but I push him back in.
"No time for being royal. We have to go!" I say, as I slide into the back.
    "Hit the gas!" I yell.
He slams his foot on the gas pedal, and we are off.
I rub my hands against my thighs nervously, while I stare at the clock.
    12:54.
It's a really good thing that I am a very lucky person. Otherwise, we would be catching all of the red lights.
But, we were doing the exact opposite.
We sped through each green light, happily.
    5 blocks to go.
    12:58.
    2 minutes.
I rub my hands on my thighs again.
    12:59.
    Less than a minute.
If I am late, I am never going to nail this.
    I think to myself.
I start to think completely negative, when a voice interrupts me.
"WE MADE IT! GET OUT!!" Raymond yells.
I come back to the world and throw myself out of the limousine.
Then I throw myself through the doors.
    Tripping into the building.
    I hear some giggles.
"They will be nervous and intimidated right when you walk through those doors."
Lorraine's sentence runs through my mind.
More like confident and easy-going. They can't be intimidated with the entrance I just made. I am a total idiot!
    I think to myself.
I feel like slapping myself across the face right now.
"Do you need help?" A voice from above asks.
I look up and see a girl about 16, who has short, straight black hair, big brown eyes, and cocoa skin.
    She reaches her hand out.
"Thanks." I smile, and let her help me.
"Oh my gosh! You are......you're!" She can't seem to force the words out of her mouth.
"Mikaela! Nice to meet you." I say with a smile.
"I can't believe it's really you! I love your music, and I grew up with you, watching your first television show! You were so cute back then! Now you are just.....just beautiful!" She says.
"Wow! Thanks! That really means a lot to me. I love your eyes, they are so pretty. I've always admired big brown eyes. They get me every time!" I compliment her.
"I get that a lot, but coming from you? It sure sounds a heck of a lot better! I have a seat on a couch next to me, want to sit?" She asks, full of hope. I can see it through her eyes.
"Sure, thanks! it doesn't look like there is a whole lot of space in here, so yeah!" I say as she starts towards a black leather couch in a corner.
I sink into the couch as soon as we reach it. It sure feels good to be relaxed.
    And then I realize something.
"Oh, hey. I am so sorry I didn't ask but.....what's your name?" I ask her, feeling really stupid.
"Oh, that's okay! I should have remembered and told you anyway! I'm Jade Sommers!"
"I like it!" I say, not knowing what else to say.
I lay my head back, on the top part of the black couch, relaxing.
"She thinks she's such a good actress that she doesn't have to study her script. Ha! Watch her fail." I hear a voice whisper.
"I know right? Ugh, everybody likes her. Why? We are such better actresses. Just because she is better known. Well, we will become the new teen sweethearts after we win this role instead of her." I hear a girl whisper back.
I look to where the whispers come from.
I see a girl with pitch black hair, roped into a long braid, with brown eyes, not as big as Jade's.
The girl next to her had her dirty blonde hair in a pony tail, with her bangs down her forehead. She had dark blue eyes.
I look away as soon as they look at me.
"Nicole, did you see her looking at us?" The blonde one whispered to the girl in the braid, who's name was obviously Nicole.
"Ella! Be quiet! Gosh you are such a loud mouth and annoying sometimes!" Nicole whisper yells to the blonde girl, named Ella.
"Fine then! I never tell you how annoying and bratty you are sometimes! I didn't even want to come to this! And you shouldn't talk bad stuff about Mikaela Rhodes! You are just jealous because she is way better than you. I am leaving Nicole. Break a leg, literally." With that, Ella gets up, and storms out of the building.
    How funny.
I smirk as I watch Nicole's face turn red as a hot fire.
    In anger, and embarrassment.
"Attention everybody! Attention!" A woman with short brown hair and green eyes claps her hands together loudly.
The murmurs die down to silence.
"Thank you. We know that most of you have been waiting for quite awhile, so it saddens us to tell you all that Mr. Angelou has the stomach flu and cannot have you audition today. We are so sorry for the inconvenience."
I hear some groans, but mostly silence.
"The new date and time for the audition will be sent to your agents, managers, or publicists. We have all of the contact information we need to be able to reach them. You may all go home now." Then, the woman walks away.
After she is completely gone, and the click-clack of her stilettos on the tile is silenced, the room roars into voices.
"Darn it! I was really looking forward to this too!" I hear Jade complain to herself.
"It's okay," I assure her "You'll get your chance."
She looks up at me with those eyes full of hope again.
"You really think so? I mean, what if it's on a date that is really important. Like something at school?" She asks.
"If you really wanted this role, you would have to miss it. This is a huge deal. I might not even come to the audition." I say, shaking my head.
"Why not?" Her voice is dripping with curiosity.
    "I don't know, I guess I just.....I don't know at all." I say, lost for words.
There is a short silence while Jade packs up all of her stuff into her purse.
"Do you have paper and a pen?" I ask her, eyeing the purse she has around her shoulder.
"Uh, yeah! Let me get it." She sets her purse on the side table and digs through it.
She then pulls out a pad of paper and a silver pen.
    With my name on it.
"This is a really cool pen, ya know." I say,
    She laughs.
"It's because it has your face on it, right?" She says, grinning.
"Maybe. Maybe not!" I say slowly.
I take the pen with my face on it and scribble down my phone number.
"Here, take this and don't lose it." I hand over my phone number.
"Really? Do you want mine?" She asks, wide eyed.
"Yeah, here!" I hand her the pad of paper and face pen.
She gracefully writes down her number, and signs her name with a little flourish at the end.
"Here you are!" She gives me the paper.
"Great! You should text me!" I say, as she walks into an elevator.
"I will! Definitely!" She exclaims, as the elevator doors shut slowly.
I walk outside and a cool breeze hits my face.
    Refreshing.
I take my phone out of my clutch bag.
    It's 2:47.
Then I make a snap decision.
Something I could only do in these shoes.
These mud brown boots with cherry red laces.
I wasn't going to call Raymond to pick me up with the limo.
    I was walking home.

    Chapter 9

It's a nice, cool day. Perfect for walking.
Unless the clouds form around you.
Except these clouds are wearing cameras around their necks, snapping photos of you.
    It's the paparazzi cloud.
But I am in such a good mood today, since I made a new friend, that I don't even care.
    I pose for their pictures.
    Peace signs, and big smiles.
I let them follow me while a I buy cotton candy from a little girl collecting money for a cause.
I pose with the cotton candy and the little girl.
I reach my house not too long later, where I let the paparazzi's go.
"Sorry guys, it's been fun! I seriously had a ton of fun with you guys which, usually, isn't the case! Thanks for sticking around!" I tell them nicely, and give them a wave goodbye.
    They all wave back.
I start towards my front door and swivel on my heels to face the front yard again.
    And the paparazzi aren't there.
    Wow, that's a first.
I pull the key to my house out of the rhinestone plant pot we have and unlock the door.
I walk into another cool breeze, even cooler than the one that blasted me when I walked out of the audition building.
I go straight to the master bathroom.
I turn the shower on cold, and wash my face with soap, and lots of it.
I rinse and repeat about 12 times before I dry my face off, careful not to get any soap in my eyes.
Then, I break out a new package of Neutrogena makeup remover, and rub my face to get the excess makeup off.
Now that's what I call refreshed.
I take a couple deep breaths as a smother my face with cream that smells of coconut.
I dab at my face with a warm, wet washcloth.
I dance over to my closet and swap my laid back clothing, with even more laid back clothing.
    My pajamas.
I take Salacia's masterpiece down and fluff out my hair.
I embrace how good and fresh I feel at the moment, since it rarely happens.
I was going to make this last.
"Oh my gosh you are so funny! You are just like I remember you!" I hear a giddy voice from across the house, or upstairs.
"You aren't exactly how I remember you. You are a lot more beautiful now." I hear a deep voice.
    Freshness, calmness and coolness.
    Gone.
I run up the carpeted stairs and turn to my left, which was the entrance to the chill out room.
I have never seen a worse sight than this in my entire life.
    This was even worse than......
    World War II.
Well, that's an exaggeration but it was still horrific.
    I see Salacia.
    And Thristin.
Sitting together on a cherry red, heart shaped couch.
    Hands intertwined.
I don't know how this affects me so much, and how it happened.
But I see black, and I feel myself falling.
