On a different note does anyone else listen to music while playing RUSE? I find it gets me in the RUSE area and livens up the slow areas of the game ie build up periods.
    I do all the time

Maybe i would respond to your posts differntly if they were actualy losely related to RUSE. Tell me how will this benifit the casual RUSE gamer looking for tips on how to get better with RUSE/ listen to interesting RUSE tails/ Get into contact with other RUSE players.

And were not so condescending and written with the attitude - 'I know everything and everyone wants to hear what i have to say, for I know everything World War 2 and have read the books to prove this'. Christ i could go on all night as to how all your posts are written in a sense of arrogence, but i might get accused of flaming again.

Oh, and I am sorry P47ace if i caused any personal offense to you in my post. I wasn't intending to be offensive but I appologize if it was taken that way. I have also removed my post.

Again an off topic response from you silentswordy.

And your flaming and trolling keeps on going.

You do not see me flaming, trolling, labelling or hijacking any of your threads or threads of anybody else for that matter. There are thousands of threads on the internet, I do not feel the need to flame etc. in them. So why is it that you do feel the need to flame etc, ad infinitum?

As to music: If you want to talk about music: by all means start your own thread about it. It is off topic in this thread and called thread hijacking and trolling under a guise.

As to the term “Sturmgrenadier” I think you understand the point I made about that term in this thread fully and very well, so I am not going to repeat it.

As to what this thread relates to: read the title of it.

As to for whom it is intended: read my previous post to you, second last paragraph. I am not going to repeat it.

Latest examples of your flaming, trolling and labelling in the post above: “condescending”, “arrogance”, pretending to know someone's character and motives for posting, negative labelling and then hiding behind the remark “I might get accused of flaming”.

It appears as if you want to have this thread locked by the forum moderators because of flaming/trolling.

Sometimes, though rarely. I like to, but when stuff heats up it gets to distracting. If i miss an alert in the heat of a battle it could mean the difference between winning a loosing.

Sorry vv but one thing you are worng about is the US. Marines

here are the four US armed services
    Army
    Navy
    Airforce
    Coast Guard

the Marines are nothing more the the Navys infantry

but they are vary large and may do their own recruting, and seen like they are a separte armed service

    they are not

and as far as i am concernd, what i have herd from many miliary documantaries and countless miltary historinans, on the military channal, have called certain units in the Germany military "Sturmgrenadiers" so i belvive their where, weather you want to or not

accually their is evidece that they do exsits but the are not formally called Sturmgrenadiers

the 78th Sturm-division, formally the 78th Volksgrenadier Division

they where an infantry divition with some "motorized" support
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/78th_Sturm_Division

so yes they where not "really" called Sturmgreandiers, they where Volksgrenadiers but the name was only used to raise moral Volks(nationalisim) and Grenadier (a praise to gremanys old miltary traditions)

they where organized with only 6 infantry battalions( normally 9) and had a higher ratio of sub, and assualt weapons (STG 44)to long rifles, so they where more fit for Close Quartars combat

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volksgrenadier

so they where in line with the SturmGrenadier ideals but where called VolksGrenadier as a morale booster

Nope, the USMC is a separate military branch of the US Armed Forces, the USN just gives the USMC a ride when required.

In total there are seven US uniformed services, of which only the first four mentioned underneath are true combat services.

The two Wikipedia links supplied underneath contain data that can also be found on official US government sites.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U..._States_Marine_Corps

"The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is a branch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for providing power projection from the sea, using the mobility of the United States Navy to deliver combined-arms task forces rapidly. It is one of seven uniformed services of the United States. In the civilian leadership structure of the United States military, the Marine Corps is a component of the United States Department of the Navy, often working closely with U.S. naval forces for training, transportation, and logistic purposes; however, in the military leadership structure the Marine Corps is a separate branch."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U...of_the_United_States

"The seven uniformed services are, in order of precedence by ceremonial formation:

    1. United States Army
    2. United States Marine Corps
    3. United States Navy
    4. United States Air Force
    5. United States Coast Guard
    6. United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps
    7. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps"

    no their not dude,

my family has a long history in the Armed services with 3 of my extened family are in the service right now

the Marines have become so large and have so much stuff they operate as a seperate force

the US army has their own Air wing,

the Airforce has their own Ground forces

the Navy has infanty, its call the marines, but their are so large and so fundemently to current starogies they are treated as a seperate force

orangally their where 3 services Army, navy, and Coast Guard

After WW 2 the Army Air Forces where broken off and became the US Airforce

also after WW2 the Mariens where given a major boost in their size because of the build up to combat the Russians and communisum

so yes they are "Teated" as a separate sevice

But their is no (Sec of the Marines)

they repond to the Sec of Navy and use Navy Funds
