Yup. You can tell from the forums that the game has been dying for a long time. It used to be that all the subforums were very active, with loads of threads beeing created and page after page of discussions going on.
Then the updates & announcements got most of the new threads (even though they should have been elsewhere, but this was where people were active).
Nowadays its almost only just a few replies to the weekly update that remains.
One can assume that the number of people commenting here is (at least partially) relative to the number of active players. This also means that it is less and less likely that we will be seeing any real updates to the game in the future (server side, new game modes, etc), as the number of potential paying customers goes down there is no incentive to invest money into updates.
Although, to be fair, the game has never received a lot of love beyond the initial release. Mostly a few (slow) bug fixes and some quality of life changes. If it hadnt been a south park game, I doubt as many people would have stuck with it for as long as they have.
Personally, I have more or less stopped playing altogether after getting banned in the forums for two weeks over what I consider to be some nonsense word use in the middle of a long post

A warning (in my opinion) would have sufficed considering Ive been in here since from the very start, with over 1000 posts and no previous warnings or bans. Before that I used to watch video ads whenever possible to get extra free packs, extra broken phones, locker rewards when losing, etc. Nowadays I intentionally never, ever support the game financially by watching a single ad.
At the end of the day its a mobile game. I guess no one should expect the fun to last for years and years.
