It is a purely commercial decision as they probably need more money even from very loyal players.
They also totally forget the real meaning of "ultimate", as they are now creating a new game line, called "complete edition" that include this DLC (until the next one). This content shall be part of the ultimate edition.
I was a very loyal ubi player and my disappointment is very great, especially in view of the contempt that Ubisoft has towards its players.
I have decided to stop purchasing content from them. They have completely lost sight of what has made them strong so far.
I strongly agree. I've given more money for all docs for 2 games, and now I've frozen on the Gift to the Gods, first quest on Ragnarok. The dwarf just stopped walking and I can't go anywhere else due to borders. $50 my ***.Originally Posted by Bebo-STh Go to original post
So I bought it and played it through. Few bugs. Loss of audible dialogue in some parts. Texture on a hillside literally looked like you could fall through the game and I almost did.
Content wise I loved what they did with Odin and it truly felt more like what I would have wanted to play through most of the game as. Odin flawed as he is would have been a better choice to become your playable character than basim/Loki. I like the dive into the mystical. A place I’ve never been. This was what I loved about odyssey but with Valhalla I was left feeling a sense of disappointment and dread as it was revealed that basim/Loki had taken over. All the trials and struggles of odyssey were for nothing as they had been orchestrated by Loki.
40 bucks is a high price tag. This should have been included that being said. It’s vastly more satisfying and enjoyable than the main game. This is what Valhalla should have been the whole way through. All father fighting to save his son. Maybe evior could have fought to save Sigurd but without letting Odin take over he would die and the sacrifice for his brother would have given meaning to the death of our hero and the rise of Odin.
Whole game felt like it was taken over by different people than who created odyssey and they **** all over odyssey and it’s characters. But ya dawn of ragnarok. It’s a good time so to those who worked on it at Ubisoft..y’all did a good job on this. I loved it just wish it had been a bit longer. More like this please.
