What would you think of having a coop campaign with Madison and Blaustein in the remake of SC SAR ?
I thought about it today and think it could be interesting.
Their story would obviously be a prequel to the main events of SAR like in the original game, and exactly like the coop campaign of Conviction was. It would add new original missions, new content and new elements to the Georgian plot.
Their CIA technology has some similarities with the one from Third Echelon but it has its own identity, I especially like the grapple allowing them to do rappel and the camera "eye" Madison is using in the PS2 introduction of the original game. It seems like it's replacing the screen of the OPSAT. It could be a nice opportunity to develop new gadgets and new gameplay ideas that would benefit the coop gameplay and bring some freshness into the equipment/gear that would be quite different from Sam's one.
I would love to have a coop campaign being focused on hardcore stealth as well but we know how it would be hard for it to be appealing. So maybe it could be done in a more stealthy way and slower pace than it has been done in Conviction. But having two CIA agents instead of Splinter Cell agents could also allow for lighter stealth mechanics to exist, I don't know.
And by the way Madison is a female character, that would be perfect if Ubisoft wants more inclusivity in the game and add more character customization.
So I really think it could work if done the right way, that solution would have some interesting advantages. Plus it would be extra content so fans won't complain about this.
Besides it could be a nice way to bring back Deniable Ops since many fans are asking for this mode to make a return.
Ubisoft could even decide to develop and sell it later as a DLC bonus if they first want to see if the remaked singleplayer campaign would sell enough copies.
Let me know what you think![]()
One of the my favorite game and I like the idea of having three to four prequel missions and wish they add some more adventures. MyGiftCardSite
Sounds great! It would add something to the game without touching the original campaign. Besides, remakes seem to be not only about gauging players interest in a brand for future installments, but for a new or refreshed development team to learn what was great about a franchise in the first place. Ubi has employee turnover like all game studios, what better way to get the people which didn't work on previous Splinter Cell games to appreciate what was great about them. Adding a small prequal campaign would give the studio the chance to move from replicating what already was to producing something new and original in the same tone.
I hope it's obvious for the devs that we want for the remake to have most of the gameplay features from CT. I wonder if we should have all of them though, maybe OCP and EEV would make the remake too easy.Originally Posted by Rea1SamF1sher Go to original post
But a small coop campaign could definitely be interesting for story as you point out, I'm glad the idea is positively received.
And so many fans want to see Deniable Ops back, that could make them happy. I don't know though if keeping the original Deniable Ops gameplay from Conviction would make everybody happy.
Thanks, I'm glad you are liking the idea.Originally Posted by Brown213 Go to original post

And exactly, it would be a bonus for everybody. Fans will get more of the story and devs could have an opportunity to express more creativity instead of only remaking an existing game.
And as I mentioned a good way to introduce a playable female character.
I'd definitely support it. It's a good place to expand, and it makes sense. I like the idea of a 4-5 mission mini-campaign, and definitely would like to see Deniable Ops return.
I imagine the initial focus is on single-player (which is fine - especially when they're just getting started), but yeah, maybe as a DLC. If they were to do something with co-op, this would be a really good fit.
Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad a lot of people agree with the ideaOriginally Posted by CoastalGirl Go to original post
I really think it could be intteresting and be a great opportunity to bring back Deniable Ops
