Well you’re totally allowed to think that considering what you’ve said is true.

I’m definitely a glass half full kind of guy though and very recently I’ve seen glimmering lights of positivity coming from Ubisoft. I thought their efforts to make Breakpoint more immersive and stealth friendly was a good sign and certainly the interview they shared on their website in regards to the SC Remake was certainly a step in the right direction. Well maybe not a complete step, perhaps just a slight lift of the ankle… but it’s still SOMETHING positive.

Remake i the way forward to buy them time to come up with something positive. It's a sign they want to take a breather and re-evaluate where they are going. I think this is good move and will maybe enable so creative ideas.

Making another one and jumping into Open world would put the final nail in the coffin, and they know it. They are fairly stupid but not stupid enough.

Devs are great and I bet they will try to deliver. I am worried about upper echelons of mgnt team that decide what stays what goes in the game. Those ******s will trash it if devs ordon'tdont push back hard enough.

I think re-make my open up a new timeline to the serious and perhaps this is whole new re-boot of the series? Third echelon being the thing (and scrapping 4E and Lambert death and blacklist)...not sure yet...how the final outcome will look like but they deffo got a good shot to kick start this whole parade, so lets hope they find the way to connect all the dots.

    I agree.

Also, the great thing about a remake is the story, overall level design, and atmosphere is already there which will allow them to make the game much quicker than doing SC7.

If part of the fanbase expects a gameplay loop that includes detection (not me), and part actively doesn't want that (me), their starting point is already messy. Then you have to get into all of the narrative drama, where actions I didn't take became canon, and Sam lost his mind a lil' bit...

A remake can put it back on track. I fully support the idea.
    Yes. All this ^
Definitely that “actions I did not take became cannon” business.

Hands down a remake. The graphics and mechanics from now plugged into then. Would be so visually stunning and amazing to play. I spend time looking at the environment. Especially if it has a real world location it is based on.
A remake can fix things as well. Like issues with canon. And applying the same storyline across the different platforms, instead of a slightly same but diff for one platform but not the other.
And maybe make it like a boxed set kind of thing. Just not DA. DA kind of came off as cliche and lazy writing.
