Weapon stats and mastery stats are different things
One refers to weapon capability, other refers to operator/toon ability to manipulate weapon
Weapon accuracy defined by build and components quality, same toon ability defined via trigger control, cheek weld, follow thru
Many however think your buffing same stat displayed on weapon, so which is it seems to be some confusion?
I put all of mine into DMR since I prefer to use those. Love the mk14 and since they added the M110 I've been rocking that. Otherwise its ASR/SMG.
I don't really use sniper rifles mainly because of how they look, they're massive and clip through everything which just annoys me to no end.
IF I carry a sniper its the SR1 I believe? The small recon one I think it is.
Is the amount of skill points capped ?
When I started Conquest mode I had 73 spare skill points and game stated I have 287 left to find
Now I'm level 41 so I earned another (5 skill points X 11 levels) = 55 skill points and now it says I have 232 left to find
Yet I still 58 levels more to go so that should be 58x5= 290 skill points, add to that I don't really play Ghost War .. only have 2 completed Ghost War "missions" out of the 67 so those are another big pile of Skill points
Any insight ?!!
Edit:
Giving it more thought, I do think now the extra skill points we can have after maxing the skill tree is hard capped at 360 skill points .. enough to fully max 3 weapon masteries. (9 maxed categories).
I've just swapped from the ACR Assault/ARX200 (both with an M203 nade launcher) to the Desert Tech MDR with the shorty nade launcher.
I'll probably never be able to check out the Weapon Mastery thing as I only take the perks I want and aren't too out there/goofy. My biggest issue with them is that in vaniila form at game beginning; our character is carrying so much **** we'd never be able to walk. Many of the perks just make it worse for me.
That’s true, but you can “buy” the perks and items in the skill tree and just not use them. There are a few passive skills that once you “buy” cannot be undone but those are not really a factor in realism or immersion. In other words, you have full control over how immersive and realistic you play even with a full skill tree.Originally Posted by Flanker1Six Go to original post
And the realism benefits of investing in the skill mastery for AR mobility alone is worth any other compromises you have to make to get it.
Use the trick Chris mentioned in another thread and grab a coercion assault vehicle and go hunting bhemoths. Your AI team mate will destroy them in seconds. Most have a couple of skill points, if you not already had them.Originally Posted by Flanker1Six Go to original post
For the original question, I agree that it’s mobility, handling then accuracy. I’ve had a play with the M4A1 assault special. Normally a bit of a handful, but definitely seems tamed with the new system.
